16:9 Themes found on FTP

Hi, im trying to put together a collection of 16:9 themes in this thread: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/23443-unofficial-169-main-and-system-themes-list/

 

The user Black Hazord send me a lot of 16:9 themes that he found on the FTP and I'm ready to upload some of them to the downloads section... but first want to show them here to see if someone can tellme the autor of these themes.

 

I don't want this themes to be lost in limbus... everyone have to be able to access them.

 

If some theme is already Uploaded, please let a message here.

 

 

These themes where found on the folder of the user "Bakerman" and are all conversions aparently:

I have more themes... have to screenshot them all and post them here so anyone can see them and tell me where they come from XD.

Most of those are from the Megatheme. I have a ton of those Megatheme style themes.

ok so i suppose most of them are made by you? Can i upload the to downloas section ir you want to distribute them yourself. The intention here is to make all these great themes (I take many for my own setup ) available to everyone in downloads section so hyperspin looks better and eventually they will end in hypersync \ base and never get lost in the deepest folder of the ftp

I can see having them all in the 16:9 theme download section. I wouldn't want to see them in Hypersync though. Hyperbase I don't know how it works. If Hyperbase lets you pick & choose things then sure, if it just auto dumps them on you then no.

HyperSync let you pick options for everithing if I remember correctly so... don't you think that gonna be great just pick the 16:9 or 4:3 theme you want and click "Download All" to have all the media in the aspect you need? I think that gonna be great

Sure if you can pick the theme. But if the default themes it auto-downloads aren't so hot that would be a bummer.

Hypersync is great for your very first time setup since it loads you up with media, but not so good to ever use again because it will overwrite all the new, improved stuff you have with it's old stuff.

No, he had just stated that he had them in his collection, not that he is the author. He may respond to correct me if I am incorrect, but his wording implied otherwise.

Ok but if I remember correctly I think he made some of the themes at least... If finally noone care abut this themes I think we should publish them and let open the oportunity to the atutor to show up and take credit or ask me to delete the themes in the worst case...

 

For now I will keep making screenshots of the themes I have, for later upload them...

If I remember right, the people you are looking for are Gibbawho (who started the original Unified Themes project and began looking at animated backgrounds), Styphelus (who stepped in when gibbawho sometimes disappeared), Unknown50862 (who took over, did an alternate unified theme project (maybe for 16x9) and began looking at adding unified bezels/fades/etc. aka Unified Megatheme), Klopjero (who came in around the middle or so of Gibbawho's project and began adding themes including alternate systems to fill in the blanks. I think he did the most animated backgrounds). Of course it turned into a community project after Gibbawho disappeared and a lot of other people that I did not list had a hand in creating artwork and collating the unified system. These are just the people I remember with the largest threads at the time. All of these members still have folders in the FTP _themes/presort including PSDs.

 

The main unifying element of this project was to place gameplay videos, console/controller, title and representative character for each system in the same position for each theme.

 

Going by memory and could be completely wrong. Oh and thanks to all including the unlisted. It was and is an awesome project.

The project was great... the problem is that the FTP as changed and we are not allowed to put content there... that why the Downloads section was created. So I want to publish the themes there... and as i said before... I will problably start doing it anyways as many of the autors are not around here anymore.

No problem. I'm more busy than before so I'm slowly uploading the themes I have to the downloads section. Also have to add some modified themes that I have made for my setup (change some characters here and there or added different animations... Not the megatheme standard but looks good to me

Uploaded All main menu themes... have to start with system themes.

 

Im uploading to UPLOAD HERE > main menu themes category... i suppose someone is in charge of moving the themes to the final category later right

Mmm I started upload these as i dont find them... I might've wrong... Anyway I think it don't hurt anyone to have the themes twice if that's the case... They will be removed at some point.

I applaud your efforts KnewLife. So many great themes are unavailable from the past. To the point where there really are very few theme choices. I have been highly annoyed by the theme scene, so many people will pop in show off a great theme, and then disappear without making it available. Thanks for your efforts!
