weevil6772 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I have Daphne Singe running in hyperspin and my games launch ok. My issue is that the light gun crosshairs stay on the corners of the screen and I am unable to get them to move correctly across the screen and be functional. I have read every daphne singe thread I can find online and tried to make sure my batch files had the correct syntax yet it's still not working with my light guns. Any and all help pointing me in the right direction is greatly appreciated. I am trying to get the Action Max games like Pop Ghostly etc working for my kids to play. Thanks!! I am using the arcade light guns from arcadeguns.com basically same as aimtrak.

Please test as a mouse on your windows desktop. Then test just by launching it from the command line, not thought HyperSpin or HyperLaunchHQ. Please let me know what the results are. atrain9 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I am also having the problem with my usb act labs light gun . The pointer is stuck at the corners . Is there a command I must add to a script ??? Thanks for any help
atrain9 Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 My lightgun works for every other emulator expect daphne singe when launching American laser games and action max .
rfancella Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 My lightgun works for every other emulator expect daphne singe when launching American laser games and action max . Please set your Logging Level in HLHQ to Troubleshooting. Run one of the games and post your HyperLaunch log here. If it is an old module, it is probably running in -fullscreen mode and not -fullscreen_window mode. flippnswitchez Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hey Ron, just figured I would let you know turning down the mouse speed did not solve my issue with the sensitivity of my light guns :-/ I am lost again
flippnswitchez Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Just realized I put it in wrong place, but lowering the mouse speed did not work :-/
what2be Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 My dual aimtraks work fine in American Laser Games (daphne/singe) with all games. Did you try running the game standalone through the bat file first? Did you make sure you can point your gun at the screen and see a crosshair move around before you even launch a game?
Dime333 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I also use Act Labs Guns. I had trouble with these systems before I started using Windowed Fullscreen instead of Regular fullscreen. That sorted it for me.

All your batch files need to be edited saying full_window for example daphne singe vldp -framefile singe/ActionMax/frame_38AmbushAlley.txt -fullscreen_window -script singe/ActionMax/38AmbushAlley.singe
Roc Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Just realized I put it in wrong place, but lowering the mouse speed did not work :-/ Edited bat files for each game reading full_window for example daphne singe vldp -framefile singe/ActionMax/frame_38AmbushAlley.txt -fullscreen_window -script singe/ActionMax/38AmbushAlley.singe
flippnswitchez Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Edited bat files for each game reading full_window for example daphne singe vldp -framefile singe/ActionMax/frame_38AmbushAlley.txt -fullscreen_window -script singe/ActionMax/38AmbushAlley.singe I have tried this along with turning down my mouse and my lightgun is STILL EXTREMELY sensitive and impossible to play with. could I be doing something wrong?
Roc Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I have tried this along with turning down my mouse and my lightgun is STILL EXTREMELY sensitive and impossible to play with. could I be doing something wrong? Are the crosshairs are just staying along the edges? Can you post one of the bat files so I can see what it looks like.
jshel65 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I ran into this thread after having the same issue. Please watch this quick screen capture that I made and I hope somebody can help clear this up the rest of the way for me. I know I am very close to having it all set up perfectly! https://youtu.be/PSnuA-VUtng
macaco Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I ran into this thread after having the same issue. Please watch this quick screen capture that I made and I hope somebody can help clear this up the rest of the way for me. I know I am very close to having it all set up perfectly! https://youtu.be/PSnuA-VUtng i have singe on two different machines. one works perfect, the other same issue as above. both windows 10, however one if hooked up to a pc monitor (work great), the other to a tv via hdmi (same issue as above). not sure if that's related to the problem. but i can not for the life of me figure it out. both very similar graphics cards and cpu specs. once in fullscreen the video is cropped. i've played around the bat files (aspect ratios, fullscreen_window and so on). gun works fine, just missing half the picture.
wesfranks Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Looks like maybe a resolution switching problem between the program and your monitor. You can see the video resize twice. Is 1280x720 the native resolution of your monitor? I know that resolution is non-standard for Daphne Singe. Mine usually runs non-standard resolutions visually OK on my monitor but it whines about it in the log. Ok. Let's try something non-destructive. Make a copy of one of the game bat files (just mouse right-click>copy the file and paste into the same folder). Now, on the copied bat file, open in a text editor, delete the -x -y resolution switches. Do use the "-fullscreen_window" switch. Now add "-ignore_aspect_ratio". Save and execute that bat file. That should bypass any program complaints of forcing non-standard resolutions since it will just run Daphne full screen windowed to the desktop resolution you are running. If that works, post back. If it does not, post your daphne_log.txt.

macaco Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 it works fine on the arcade with a pc monitor, could the video car settings be messing things up with the hdmi port?

macaco Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 when using fullscreen or fullscreen_window it still crops half the image. When running singe just in a window not a problem, but you can the windows outline and heading. it's got me buggered as to why it only does it on the pc connected to a tv via hdmi.
