mihaliousa
Hi all, trying to launch games through hyperspin using the prboom core but to no avail-says retroarch has stopped. Games launch with no problems outside hyperspin through retroarch

reznnate
I suspect it's a retroarch problem, similar to what was affecting N64 a few months ago.

Pouteur
Yes, sound works great, the only thing it's that i don't know how to make a save.
mihaliousa
Sorry, i do have sound as well. I meant to say background music, do not have any. You?
Pouteur
No music for me too
kylecp1979
The sound effects works but the background music doesn't work through retroarch. Very sad cause that's a main part of the DOOM experience.
Honosuseri
Sorry...Had to necro this thread! Tried this core out after being coaxed into looking at the TyrQuake core. The Prboom core doesn't support midi music from within the wad files, you must add in the music tracks as mp3. The games (i.e Doom & Doom II) must have their own folders with the doom/doom2.wad & prboom.wad inside AND obviously the mp3 tracks. Once you've launched the game, a prboom.cfg file will be created in there as well. You can open this and see what the mp3 tracks should be named. I got confused as the wiki page said the tracks must have "mus_" as a prefix to the mp3 title...it's incorrect. I'll add a link of the "Doom Classics" wheel I threw together, reusing and subtly tweaking HS assets available. You can see the music is playing in both of the titles.
