I know I create a short-cut under Linux by simply commenting out two lines of code, but I was curious what was involved for the Windows version, and what all is suppressed.
oldhag270 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Haven't exactly done one in awhile a lot has changed, for example you have to add a line and then there are 3 lines that need to be commented out and in Arcade64 they are located in different areas. At least they were back about 15 revisions ago.

Which messages are all suppressed in the last version you did? Mine suppresses the copyright warnings, OK selection, bad emulation warnings, etc. Loading information (%) is still shown. When I'm home I'll check which lines I comment out; they're both in ui.cpp.
oldhag270 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Actually just found a no nag and hi score .diff to patch the source with, makes even easier now.Only problem is it's not working with Arcade64.
phulshof Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Isn't compiling Arcade64 just a matter of setting the SUBTARGET to arcade? I wouldn't think the patch depends on it? The patch also allows for configuring the no-nag from mame.ini; my short-cut doesn't bother.
oldhag270 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 It brings up all kinds of errors,at least for me anyway.
phulshof Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 I never compiled MAME under Windows; perhaps I should give it a try sometime.
oldhag270 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Mame went fine(testing it now)just keeps throwing up errors for Arcade64.
FLYNN`S Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Could someone explain what Arcade64 is, and how it compares to MAME?
oldhag270 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Arcade64 uses everything from MAME but has a better user interface in my opinion.
sevenseal Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 i posted my patch version of arcade64 recently, if that news for you all
shitoken Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 Hi Sevenseal Is this the alternative of Mameuifx? I am having problem with MAMEUIFX whenever I launch from HS wheel I can see the emulator down the task bar because of this by taskbar wont hide. But game run fine. If launch game via RL directly wont have this problem. Not sure if is MAMEUIFX or HS is the problem Maybe I should try this emulator?
