Any ideas why is this happening ? Thanks.

Regards, Richard Hi , to get No CHD mame games list you have to check the "file" checkbox , the list will be placed on extras folder from the mame folder created by the app. If you select No CHD folder , that will create a dedicated folder based from all No CHD mame games ex : No CHD Folder with All genres files checked , will give you all genres lists from games that are listed in NO CHD.(so a game with CHD will be not present on Baseball.xml,Beat-em All.xml...etc...) If I understand correctly, this will generate a MAME.xml database file for the version of the mame executable I supply it correct? And depending on what other options I select in the tabs genre and other filters will be created? What is the option on the first page with the checkbox "Mame XL ... 0." what is the purpose of this? Also, what is the purpose of the "Lists filtered" option? While I'm at it, what is the purpose of the folders options? I'm sorry but some of this is really unclear. I am really hoping this helps me generate the proper mame.xml hyperlist source xml file... But I'm having problems! A few times after running, the directories have been left empty like nothing has happened. Can you advise? I'm assuming after this runs and I have the file "mame 209.xml" this can just be renamed as "mame.xml" and put in the Hyperspin\Databases\MAME\ directory for RL to read? I'm not trying to be critical, I think this is an invaluable tool I just want some clarity on functionality

Hi , yes this app generate XML lists for mame.exe. firstselect your Mame executable (wait a moment to extract list) Then select your destination for XML lists generated. Because all tabs options are set by default to "None" , if you don't select an option all games genre/years/manufacturers... will be filtered and you get nothing. Issue #1: I'm going through the process and select the mame64 executable (watching all the little birdies). After it reads the DB, I make my selections and point it to a folder (example: c:\myxmls). I click on GO and after 25-30 minutes, it completes BUT no file is generated. I'm working with mame .208. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong. Issue #2 (not so much an issue): Can you please give me or lead me to game examples of your Genre categories since I can't match them up on my hyperspin? For example: Mini-Games, Utility, Platform, Card Battle, New...etc. Do you have a list or is there a list somewhere i can reference? Hi dedos , for some reasons sometimes nothing is writed on destination folder , that could be necessary to use same folder as mame generator app as destination folder and also run this app as admin. I ended extracting the games i didnt want manually for a quick release but i dont want to give up on the generator so I'm going to go back and perform your suggestions.
