Tried also tinkering with the placement of the Game Info Text.. moving it into the screen.

Only issue is its then limiting it to character length. Still allows for pretty long names.

I have been speaking with one of the best creator of video themes I know and they have agree'd to help me with some animation/graphics work.

I will be holding off on release until then as they will be providing a better quality background and also Uniform Animated Neon Sign System Names for the top and perhaps one for "Controls" in the top left.

It should also be using the whole window/screen instead of having the "3D" frame on the left in the future..

Oh so excited!! This should look great once completed and I will be making it as easy install as possible for all.

 

Will also look to a Minimal Rainmeter skin to overlay always, New Special Art fixing the Left-Right vs Up Down and Removing Favourites from Main Menu version.

Then comes the Favourites Screen to suite the MGS Exit screen and I think we are done!

 

 

PS. If anyone knows how to make Hyperspin show mouse when launching directly that would be amazing to know. (Cant find the setting anywhere!)

Well its looking "OK", but I would like to improve on the quality where possible as I want this to be a 16:9 Universal Theme.

I am just waiting on a more experienced graphics developer to get back to me with some suggestions or perhaps just a better quality version.

Overall the background has been run through two many conversions and when finalized in After Effects and then Flash as swf the quality just turns to dirt compared to the original GIF it was modified from.

Not sure if its going to be possible to have the background layer animated as SWF without loosing some quality.

The only way I can think of at the moment is to embed the videosnaps into the background itself and use them as full screen video backgrounds. Then overlay the Information/logo images over the top.

I will just keep working on some more PC Themes until I get word back and then will continue on this project to get it ready for download.

I have added a Version 1.0.0 here for those interested in having a look and try it out.

Its only the Theme, Rainmeter Pack and Some Wheels that I use for now as I am still working on Artwork Layers with Information Etc.

Be sure to backup and follow the instructions if you are unsure how to setup.

If anyone wants to help out I will start dropping some templates and fonts here soon, just let me know which system(s) or controls you want to do so we don't double up.  

I can probably create a quick shared Google Sheet for collaboration if we get a few people jump on board. (More hands make light weight)

Updated the Download with...

A New Version of the Wheels.zip Containing Fixed 16:9 Versions and also Neon Variants all done by the man @RetroHumanoid!

Also added Artwort2.zip for the main menu to show System Pictures, Info and/or Games Available.

Been working slowly on System Defaults.. you will notice I am using a Mash of my own and a 3rd Part Special which I think fits the theme quite well.
Also @RetroHumanoid in between making 1000 cookies was kind enough also to make some very nice Uniform System Titles which you can see in the preview below.

Just need to work soon on making them animated neon lights. Also re-making my Game Wheels 16:9. 
Also not sure on where to place the Box and Media Art. You will noticed these I have run through and converted to 16:9 and also reduced them in size by 50%.

So I started working again on the overlay including the Lady on the Left minus the animated sections and the Video Frame to try and make it less noticeable.
Also included the Posters for higher quality and the ability to modify them for each System Default theme. 
(A wanted sign for one of the characters and/or Top scorers from Hyperspin tournament winners in the past for that System.)

Size is still good at 306kb for the Default.zip.

Well I have updated the download to what I have in the latest release v1.0.3.. and If you have Game Wheels/Videos ready its pretty much a fully functioning pack.

I have added an Install Guide PDF for download if you are unsure on how to set something like this up. (Its only 5 Parts with Extra Options for Artwork and HyperControl)

Just need to duplicate the default.zip and ~Dummy_Settings.ini file for each of your wheels and be sure to modify the settings file if you restrict your wheels to specific content (Wheels, Videos, Roms etc.)

PS. Be sure to check out the Extras links in the description as they complement the pack well.

PPS. I will look to add System Specific Default Themes with more layers and artwork etc in the new year.

As a demonstration with using the posters I decided on using @Avar as the subject as he was the reason I am a content creator and in part responsible for all my contributions.

Also as much as it pains me to say.. I have found iTunes so far to be the best audio player of choice.

If only Winamp's "Keep On-top of other Windows" Function would work with Hyperspin!

I am also looking at other designs of the HyperControl Buttons/Information as if they are set to "Stay On-top" they get int the way of applications themselves.

Thinking a simple bar along the top will be fine... Will keep on tinkering.

I have also been tinkering with "Removing the Wheel" by replacing current wheels with just tiny invisible placeholder images.

You do tend to miss what's next and previous but it seems to work well and makes it feel like a whole new system.W

ill post some results soon..

 

P.S 

I was watching some videos on Small Touch Screens and think one would be a great addition to any cabinet with Rainmeter to launch Config Programs, Apps and Music etc.

I might have to invest in one I think..
