phulshof Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 As some of you might know: I've been quite busy over the last years gathering as many bezels as possible, and converting them to MAME .lay format. It's been taking up quite a bit of my time, and with all the projects I've got going on I don't really have a lot of time to spare. In addition: I hardly ever use bezels anymore, since my bartop (WIP) is going to be 4:3. As such, I'm considering adding all the bezels I have to a github or bitbucket repository, to allow others to contribute more easily to this set. Would people be interested in such a way of distribution, and perhaps helping me out here? If so: what would be the best format: .zip files or directory based? (MAME can handle both) As a separate issue: I've created a pull request on the MAME github to add override and fallback artwork to the MAME code. This would allow MAME to use default bezels in case no bezels are available for a game. Hopefully that feature will be added to the MAME source code in the not too distant future.
phulshof Posted December 23, 2017 Author Posted December 23, 2017 Google just informed me that github and bitbucket have a 1-2 GB maximum repository size, so that's not going to fly. Perhaps a shared MEGA repository would be better in this regard?

I would suggest that whatever way they are shared, please be able to sort the list by "date modified" so you will be able to grab just what has changed recently.Sent from my SM-A520W using Tapatalk
