gigapig Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Relic,These do no go in your HyperSpin/Media folder. They go in your HyperSpin/HyperLaunch/Media/Bezels/MAME folder. Thanks, Ron No they don't Ron, they are exclusive to Mame and will not work as Hyperlaunch media unless converted. Grizz has created .lay files for Mame, there is no transparency for the game window, so they would need converting for use as Hyperlaunch media. If you put them in where you suggested, you will just get a black screen. Unless I've missed something of course.

I retract my previous statement and hope it causes no confusion. Thanks, Ron Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them. I just downloaded one of them (1942), but in order to make it work I had to change the name of the lay file from romnam.lay to default.lay. Grizz Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 rfancella.. u should have been able to just drop the folder into artwork and leave folder named 1942. u just have to delete any zips or artwork associated with the game. maybe i should figure out how to convert..so these can be used by hyperspin. would that be easier for others ? also..these are just custom ones i started doing for myself. they were really never for release..but i figured i would at least share out..

Grizz, Understood. I did in fact just drop the folder in my artwork folder. Renamed my 1942.zip so MAME would not use it. Reset all my module settings to use the MAME internal bezels. I ran the game. No bezel showed. I renamed the layout file from from romname.lay to default.lay and it shows just fine. I think it's great that you share the art and passion you have with others. Thank you and I salute you for sure! To convert these for use with HyperLaunch is very easy. I will try to explain how to. The example 1942 you have now. Take the file 1942_jr_ws.png and the area in the middle that is black, make it transparent. Rename it to Bezel - 16x9 1942 (grizz).png Now make a blank text document called the same with the ini extension instead of png. Now edit it and put this in it: [General] Bezel Screen Top Left X Coordinate=556 Bezel Screen Top Left Y Coordinate=43 Bezel Screen Bottom Right X Coordinate=1313 Bezel Screen Bottom Right Y Coordinate=985 Save the file and you are done. HyperLaunch will launch the emulator and draw this over the top. Hope this helps. rfancella Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 rfancella..also..these are just custom ones i started doing for myself. they were really never for release..but i figured i would at least share out.. I do understand that too. The project Gigapig and I finished was intended that way as well. But why not "share the wealth" and your skill with the world?? Our deal (is posted in the Gold Member section) converted all the available MAME artwork into HyperLaunch bezels. They are not as good looking as what you are doing, so I would love to have them both.
