Grizz Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 hey guys, thanks for compliments :} i have a small batch done..maybe 30 or so right now. i am planning on many more, once i have a nice collection, they can go on the ftp for everyone to enjoy! i will just contact billpa or dazz to up them, i can never get on the ftp. plus i will put them on the arcade crusade under all my other crap :} also i am half way through the geo collection! on the slugs now... years i ago i recreated every mini marquee for geo! even the extra ones! mauahah so nice on 55 inch widescreen! and legible! check the pics :}
bleasby Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Nice work Grizz. One question, are you using the built-in mame feature to make that bezels work or are you using the hyperlaunch bezel feature? If you are using the second one, you could also set your mini marquees like instruction cards on hyperlaunch, so they would change, appear or disappear from the screen whenever you want by simple key presses. If you don't know about it and want to know more about this feature, just let me know. When asking for help for RocketLauncher, POST ON THE RLAUNCHER.NET FORUMS! Also, please post your RocketLauncher.log with logging level set to troubleshooting in pastebin (set the log level in RocketLauncherUI, global system > General Settings -> RocketLauncher). Ass. gigapig Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I have been working on Vertical and Horizontal Ingame artwork for widescreen tv, i am sure others already are doing this. Just to make you guys aware.... Myself, potts43 and rfancella are currently working on something similar, to allow the original Mame artwork to be used in the bezels "Normal" mode instead of layout. These can be copied to the Hyperlaunch\Media\Bezels\mame folder and as well as the original bezel some also contain instruction cards if included with the artwork, or a couple of examples below include flyers. There are 969 folders of artwork, a few of which aren't usable, and we are currently about 70% complete. It was started as a way of using both user generated bezels as well as Mame bezels with switching between Normal and layout modes and out of a love for the originals artwork. Here's a few examples. Potts came up with an ingenious way of switching to fullscreen at the touch of a button.
rfancella Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Woot! Side note: We are using the MAME artwork for all of this. They are all tagged as ASA (All Screen Aspects) so they can be used on any aspect ratio and still look good. But, none of the artwork is ours, we are just making it usable by HL! And many of the games have multiple bezels for your choice. Thanks, Ron Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them. And if they changed your life, send them a Beer!

gigapig Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 For those who are not sure what to do with these, just drop them in your Mame artwork folder. You may have to switch on bezels in the Mame ini or in the gui. You may also need to switch to Bezel "Layout" mode in HLHQ.
rfancella Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 sorry what number artwork Relic, These do no go in your HyperSpin/Media folder. They go in your HyperSpin/HyperLaunch/Media/Bezels/MAME folder. Thanks, Ron Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them. And if they changed your life, send them a Beer!
