THK Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Has anyone successfully set up this program in conjunction with HyperSpin? I'm currently figuring out using this nifty little program in combination with my 2 360 wireless controllers. It works very nice so far, starting games from the app itself. It should also start game profiles automatically when a game starts. It will also automatically shut down game profiles when certain selected programs start run. I haven't tested yet how this will work with HS. I hope it will shut down game profiles when a game/emu stops & HS returns to the foreground, but I expect it won't work as HS keeps running and isn't restarted every time you quit the game/emu. I do however, at this moment, find that this app is way better than Xpadder, witch I used before in combination with two PSX controllers with mixed success. ..........................back with a vengeance........................
grimmreaper Posted November 9, 2010 Posted November 9, 2010 I know this is a little late but, I have yet to get this program to work right. It seems that when Hyperspin is launched it switches profiles like it should. However, when hyperspin launches a game pinnacle doesn't see it being launch so remains on the hyperspin profile. I agree though, this profiler has a much better looking and understandable GUI. If only it had support for FE. All the profiles are stored in %appdata% and doesn't have a launchable link.
cid67 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I'm dealing with this same issue. and am actively searching for a solution. if this issue can be overcome I can put a profile up at the Pinnacle website.
cid67 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 The solution to this problem is to create a default Profile for Hyperspin within Pinnacle Game Profiler. After you do this, go into Preferences , check the checkbox labeled "Run this background Profile when otherwise inactive". After that, select your Hyperspin profile in the box below. After you do this, you can set up profiles for all your emulators in Pinnacle Game Profiler and when Hyperspin loads a emulator, Pinnacle will automatically switch to the emulators profile.
ghutch92 Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I'll do the HL coding to add support for pgp, but I need some help understanding how it works. I need to know: 1.) The command line parameters. 2.) How can I tell what profiles you have and what profiles you don't have? (example: two game, two emulator, and a hyperspin profile) 3.) How does pgp handle multiple controllers of the same type? (example: 2 360 controllers) 4.) How does pgp handle multiple controllers of a different type? (example: a motioninjoy ps3 and a 360 controller) 5.) How can I tell the difference between profiles for different controllers? 6.) What is the difference between profiles and profile configurations? If we can answer 1, 2, and 3, I write the code to add pgp support to HL. If 4 and 5 are answered PGP will get the same support as xpadder. Are these the only command line parameters? http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/help/hlpCommandLine.html If so then numbers 2-5 became a little harder. How to Install HyperSpin and more RocketLauncher HyperSpin Startup Script
damageinc86 Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I tried what CID suggested, but it was still a no go for me. The hyperspin profile stayed "on top", and pinnacle didn't want to switch it to the pc games I was trying to run (half-life, and Halo), but if you run them outside of hyperspin it's fine. And if you have xpadder running for hyperspin navigation at the same time as pinnacle, pinnacle will load the profile for the game, but you will be doing double commands since xpadder is still active as well. For example, I have halo's pinnacle controls auto loaded, and my xpadder button for "enter" in hyperspin is active, which results in a "fire" everytime i crouch. If Hyperspin could just recognize the a normal windows controller device for navigation then this problem would go away. EDIT: Nevermind! I had the pinnacle profiles all set for "persistent", once I unchecked that on the profiles, it launches just fine while having the hyperspin profile run as background.
craiganderson Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 any updates? http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
Agrajag Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 In case anyone's been putting off buying it, PGP is currently half price, i.e. $9.99. damageinc86 Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 oh yeah, that's a deal! You have to do that "persistent" profile thing, to get it to keep focus on the latest pc .exe that is being launched. That threw me for a loop for a long time, but man, it's been greatness since then!
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I housed this years ago to get cod4 and mass effect controller support. It was OK back then but moved to xpadder since using HS. To be honest I had problems with it back then, keeping profiles to various other programs. This as about 5 years ago. Has development moved on with this?? Simply Austin's YouTube
damageinc86 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I have no idea about development progress relative to 5 years ago, because I didn't even know it existed until 8 months ago. All I can say is I have had no problems with it at all, and It was very intuitive to make profiles with for say, navigating hyperspin, and other pc games. Well worth the price for me personally.
