Wow, sick.

Just one or two things about the manufacturer logos on the wheel images :

- I don't think Amidar is a namco game ?

- Xevious IS a namco game ;) (Atari is a clone)

- The Atari logo you use is the new one and doesn't match the "Arcade feel", imo.

"Dindon" means "Turkey" in french.

1) You are correct on Amidar, and i have no friggin idea why i put namco. It was published by Stern. I even put Stern on the CPO, come to think of it I might have made this wheel right after Tank Battalion, which is namco!

2) Xevious, this is where i've been going back and forth with some games, between listing the dev or the pub company. Yes Xevious is developed by Namco, but allot of the artwork I've found or used has it published by Atari. I started a thread earlier trying to get a better feel on which to use. There are some games developed by companies no one would recognize, but were published by Taito, or someone we know. I can change it no prob, glad there are extra eyes looking cause i figured i'd get some of these mixed up! lol

3) I'll look around for another "Arcade-ish" logo

Thanks for the pointers EvilD!!

No problemo bro.

Just do what you like on xevious, (it's not that important ;) ), cause you're right, if you used mainly atari artwork for the theme, then go for an atari logo. From my point of view, I always prefer putting the original manufacturer logo. But that's only a personal taste.

Wow! I also just built my first cab a 2/3 size Pacman for the kids with a vert monitor. love to get a copy of this (or any) vertical theme for HS. Where can I get it?

Thanks!

This work a little better for Atari?

mmm.. that's not the original atari logo, but, don't worry man, this isn't important at all.

Man I've downloaded your set on the ftp, it seems so cool.

But I have to make some adjustments before I can use it, as the res I use on my cab is 640x480 (it's a standard 15khz TV)

oooh, 640, yeah everything i did was set to 1024x768, seemed like that was the standard for HS as of now. We're using a LCD on my buddy's cab so we didn't run into that.

hmm.... think it would benefit everyone if I did a set adjusted for the lower rez? It wouldn't be hard at all. As I keep going with themes it's easy to do both.

Now im curious bout the logo, so many versions. Like this?

Yeah that's te old school atari logo.

You could even place the letters beside the logo to save some space in height.

You could even add "GAMES" under Atari, as I noticed that the arcade department of Atari back in the days was called "Atari games".

Here is what i suggest :

PS : I tried your setup on my desktop PC ; some of your themes has a "zip file error" ?

I do like that logo, i'll throw it in the wheels and see how it fits.

a "zip file error" eh? hmm, well those were uploaded directly from the system I was testing on, wonder if something went a little wrong when i uploaded the bunch of them. I"ll take a look.

That is really slick EvilD, I like the added manuf/date on the right edge there.

By all means, use the wheels how you need.

If 230 is the wheel size your using, as I keep going I'll do a wheel that size as well, that way if anyone else(and im sure there will be) ends up using a tv like you, we'll have a wheel set ready.

Did you get your arrows working right as well?

Hey man I just erased my posts just to not spoil your thread (I'll make a separate thread of my vertical theme).

I thank you very much for sharing your fantastic work. And yes, it would be great if you can make two sizes of wheel images for next releases.

I haven't tested the arrows yet, actually it's just a mockup I made in PSP waiting for HS2.0 to come out.

But if HS2 takes too long to come out, I'll surely try your method and just install HS on my cab ;)

Hey jeepguy, can you send me your template for the wheel image, I have an idea for some wheels I want to make but I want to use your border, Im thinking I want to try straight logos from the games that uses familiar artwork for the background area. Im curious to see how its going to look.
