Button works in standalone SNES9x but not in Hyperspin

Hello everyone.  First post.  I am trying to play SNES on hyperspin but running into some issues.  All button mappings seem to translate well with the exception of what I have programed for the 'b button' in SNES, L Shift.  I can't get it to work wothin hyperspin and I purchased the cabinet through a company that has premapped all the buttons for the hundreds of systems installed. I tested this out by launching the emulator standalone SNES9x and was able to ensure the correct button mapping and even played a few games to ensure functionality however, replicating this success in hyperspin doesn't work.  I ensured under RocketLauncher that I am using the correct emulator installed. Not sure what to check.  Thank you

Try launching a game from within RocketLauncher UI.

its very hard to know what this random company has sold you...so harder to help as we here have nothing to do with anyone that sells preconfigured Hyperspin setups.

Your first place for support should be the company you purchased through. I strongly suggest you pester them for support.

I have.  They are a family owned company called (**deleted**) Support is pretty limited outside of the familiar. I'm trying to teach myself how to navigate and configure the system myself.  How do I launch within RL? Thank you for your help

If I can offer a suggestion that'll tackle most of the issues you'll run into...

Install RetroArch and use that to emulate most of the systems. It has much of the configuration pre-done and is very easy to tailor to your liking.

Removed the company name.

The very best advice is to watch the official tutorials linke in my signature.

Don't want to void any warranty I have. Thank you.

Juat looking at the site you posted.....thats a hefty price tag.

They really should be able to fix a simple button mapping.

Anyway open RLui select snes

Hit the games tab

Audit your games.

Select a game and hit the launch icon above the games list.

Check if any keymappers are setup also.

We have no clue how your buttons are connected to the emulator so its hard to help.

I can take some screenshots of the desktop and programs.  And a few of RI if that'll help.  I appreciate your helping me.  Thank you

I'm so confused. They won't help you, and you're concerned about voiding a warranty?

Absolutely.  This a whole 4 player arcade console.  Parts have a lifetime warranty and pc is covered.  I don't want to do anything out side

Have a crack at watching the videos. Also watch Planet Geekdom on YouTube to uderstand keymapper stuff incase you have it.

See if you can figure out how your system works.

Have you launch a snes game with RocketLauncher Ui yet?

So what it looks like it WINIPAC controls the inputs (picture 0) from the arcade (picture 1).  Picture 2 shows the button (1st button on the bottom considered button 4 is set to L shift), Picture 3 shows the L Shift is mapped to be the B button for SNES9x (I was told that mapping the button through the emulator will transfer to hyperspin).  Picture 5 shows that there are Key Mappings - however I see this set up on Sega Genesis but not having an issue with those buttons nor on any other system/platform.  Picture  6 shows a successful audit and I was able to launch Legend of Zelda no problem however button 4/Lshift/B did not work.  It does work when I launch the emulator by itself running from Picture 3's emulator folder.  Thank you again for your help.

Seriously...pester them some more.

They set it up, they sold it and they should help you fix it.

Does look like a nice system though. :)

But the sale of "hyperspin" related systems bringing people like yourself to this community is a drain. I understand this is not your fault and please dont take it direct.

I wish you well with your setup but thr problem is beyond my knowledge. Hopefully you get it sorted.

(Fyi please dont link or name the company you got this from, its against the rules and we hate promoting these companies)

You could try chanhing B button is snes9x mappings to U instead of LShift

Can I remove the keymappings altogether since they are pulling from the emulator?  If I change it to u will I have to change it across the other systems?

Fair enough. Just seemed odd. Thanks for the explanation.

I really dont know. Either hold on for someone that does or give it a shot methodically. Change one thing test it and change it back if no change.

What tutorial do you need here? Joy to key, want fries with that?

I'm not sure if this would void the warranty as I'd be changing the configuration entirely. Hold the fries... For now.

Did this machine include all the ROMs as well?

My advice if they don't support you is, make a backup of the Hyperspin folder so you can restore it if things go very wrong.

I only use JoyToKey for a few computer based systems like Commodore 64, most of the other emulators you set controls in the emulator only. But without knowing how this company set it up.....??

I see from the screen shot that used autohotkey to remap not JoyToKey which is even more of a mystery.

It's been over a week since I asked for help.  Sent the same screenshots and they have to figure it out.  They don't know their own configuration.  I have some free time today to mess with it. Ill update if I can fix it.

Thing is, it could be a torrent or drive clone or something they have adjusted not built from scratch.

wish you well with it

Thank you. I was able to figure it out.  Taking what the seller said about everything running through the emulator and you pointing out the RL had keymapper settings.  I copied the text in the keymapper to notepad In the instance that it wasn't the issue, removed the content from the keymapper and saved it. Ran Hyperspin and loaded a game and the button worked.  Thank you for your help.
