Hey all

Try to launch Final Fantasy VII through hyperspin and get the "select your disc" screen showing disc 1 to 3 but I cannot select or launch it.

It let's me highlight the disc but cant seem to select any.

Files seem to be names correctly (they are rar files) as per pics below.

Any ideas??

Cheers in advance

As far as I know only RetroArch supports multidisk changing from RA gui.

1: change the database to have no disc title and remove the entry with disk number (es: "Final Fantasy VII (USA)"
2: decompress the zipped roms. Some sets have in every rom roms "track1.bin" so decompress one disc at time and rename disc 2 file "track02.bin", change the name also in the .cue
3: create the .m3u file , just open with notepad and change the name of the cue/ccd
4: compress everything ( the.cue, the .bin and the .m3u) in a single rar5 archive
5: add .m3u extension to RetroArch module in RocketLauncher

Load the rom, you can manage disk changing in retroarch's gui (disc managment->cycle tray->change disk->cycle tray)

Hey @dark13 have decompressed the roms and created the m3u file and the file type the retroarch module.

Just not sure about changing the database. Playing around with the X-Files just not sure how to do step 1. Attached is a copy from the database.

Thanks

Yeah. Databases are not rocket science, you must have the correct rom's name listed and be sure that all tags are closed :)

Thanks mate will give it a go

Definitely use RetroArch. Multidisc games need to be UNZIPPED too. I have mine setup like so:

Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 1) (USA)
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 1) (USA).bin
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 1) (USA).cue

Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 2) (USA)
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 2) (USA).bin
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 2) (USA).cue

Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 3) (USA)
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 3) (USA).bin
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 3) (USA).cue

Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 4) (USA)
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 4) (USA).bin
Final Fantasy VIII (Disc 4) (USA).cue

RocketLauncher makes the .m3u automatically and places it in the directory. Add m3u to your RetroArch extensions.

Thanks all, looks like I finally got it working....well they load now, haven't gotten far enough into it to have to change disks yet.

Seems that I somehow missed there was no "select" button assigned in the rocketlauncher controls ?‍♂️ this has now also fixed my issue with pause.
