Getting rid of unowned games in the wheel

Hi, I'm very confused... I'm coming back to Hyperspin after an 8 year gap & have set it up along with RocketLauncher & Mame Plus Plus.

No matter what I do though, every single Mame game shows up on the wheel. I want the wheel to only show my games.

In HyperHQ I have my wheel setting set to single. - Mame.

I've filled in the Rom path & put zip, into the Extensions box.

In RocketLauncher I've configured my Mame settings & pointed to the Mame Roms directory.

And also in Mame 0.214 I've configured to the Roms directories but even Mame continues to show me every single game, if I click on the Available tag I get no games showing, despite having again pointed Mame config to my Roms folder.

I've you tubed loads on setting up hyperspin but can't seem to find out how to get my wheel clean with just the odd 15 games I want on it. Any help please?

go to navigation/themes in HyperHQ and tick roms only

if you don't plan to update your rom set

you might be better of removing unwanted games from the XML,  so that it only contains/displays the games you want/have.

 

their is software out their that will semi automate the process for you.

Don's tools is one of them

HyperList.exe will make a generic XML with your roms ( it will not contain the metadata).

if you don't care for metadata --> you are done.

 

use an Official Hyperspin MAME XML that contains metadata  and Filter HyperList.exe  with your generic XML (to exclude games)

export a custom XML with Hyperlist.exe that only contains your games and the metadata.

Another option is to filter out your wheel images and turn on the wheels only filter in HyperHQ
