Just installed to a custom drive, works fine. Then a pop said update so i did. It reinstalled hyperhq in c/:programdata/. The original location then was taken over. I have done this twice now and the same happens.

This should be fixed in the latest version, but it requires a reinstall. The installer itself needed an update.

Pull the latest from the download link at the top and let me know what you think!

I just noticed I have this same issue.

Originally installed HyperHQ to d:\hyperspin\hyperhq\

Update to HyperHQ moved to it c:\Program Files\hyperhq\

I just experienced the same thing as my custom folder HyperHQ.exe is version 30 so the past two versions are now in C:\Program Files\HyperHQ\. your saying to reinstall so will that blow away the systems and media that I setup?

I can confirm this same issue as above. I installed HyperHQ and Hyperspin on another drive that is not the C drive but both programs installed folders in my C drive users, appdata and Program Files folder on my C drive. I have a shortcut to HyperHQ.exe pinned to my taskbar and every time I update HyperHQ it deletes the shortcut because I guess it is installing it in the C Program Files folder again.

Hellow Bro!

Reboot hyperHQ not help?

No, as soon as I reload it asks me again.

Also HyperHQ will not exit correctly and can only be rebooted if I close it down in Task Manager

Same with Hyperspin.exe (won't exit correctly)

Now I know why it keeps asking me to update over and over, even though I am using HyperHQ on D:\ when it updated it kept updating and copying to C:\

So it seems to think it's not updated and then asks over and over to update, all the while sending it to C:\

Once I copied the C:\ files back to D:\ it then stops asking me to update.

Update:

Once I did this, HyperHQ works fine but now Hyperspin will not load at all.

HyperHQ is designed to actually stay on, but in your tray.  RIght click quit. If that doesn't work, kill the task. Also, clear all cache in the HS settings. That might help.

HyperHQ keeps asking me to update, now it has been 10 times in a row and still it keeps asking ?

I am assuming this is a bug ?

It seems like a few of your bugs are related to the system not installing in the correct path. Uninstall and reinstall the latest and it should fix you up. Report back and let me know!

I updated from 31 to 33 and it installed into C:\ instead of D\
once I moved the new HyperHQ folder onto my D:\ and then added a new system all the media it downloaded was added to the correct location (D:\ drive) for the first time 👍

Please uninstall HyperHQ and Reinstall it with the latest installer 2.0.33 Here

it'll keep your settings and it should stop having this issue.

Actually that installer link is directing to HyperHQ_2.0.31.exe.

@fr0stbyt3 The updater is still installing the updates to the C Program Files folder. I was on HyperHQ 2.0.33.0 and have it installed on my G drive. There was no HyperHQ folder on my C Program Files folder before I updated to 2.0.34.0. After the update it created a HyperHQ folder in my C Program Files folder and installed the update in that folder and left the HyperHQ.exe on my G drive the 2.0.33.0 version.

HyperHQ is still not installing in the correct place when updating from v2.0.33 to v2.0.34

My setup is located in D:\Arcade\HyperHQ and it installed automatically to C:\Program Files\HyperHQ

Why not have an option box to ask where you want it to be installed ?
