......What it is all about is that this front-end looks better then any other front-end, that look on the faces of your friends when they come over and you show them Hyperspin.....

Nobody is saying that YOU would be forced to put stuff in YOUR system that YOU DO NOT LIKE......but why do you insist on limiting other people's choices?

Why not just let people post links (mediafire etc) to let people decide for themselves if the work is good enough for their system or not......

If people like the work....they will download it.

If they do not like the work....they will not download it.

And then folks would not have to pay money to access the ftp as well....download links are FREE

Just to be safe..you guys should probably start doing random home visits to inspect hyperspin systems...you know......to make sure there is no non-collective approved artwork in any systems.......just to make sure we have the appropriate reaction from our friends.....cuz we probably cant do that ourselves.......

again...thank you for considering my opinion

i am very happy that divergent opinions are embraced on this forum

thank you very much

I understand what you are saying and also respect your opinion, as a theme approver i need to stand by the standards and the rules.

Actually relic setup his own little Web page with his themes shared there. You are welcome to do the same Craig. In fact that way you have all your themes in one big barrel and everyone who likes your stuff knows where to go. You could share it with pictures on a google blog and have links to your own google drive and it would be all free and you have 100% control of the content you upload. You could even advertise it in your own signature.

What a lot of complete shit...the point of this thread is to encourage people to help doing themes, which would be a really good thing - nice try Donnie. To those that want to help, please post up what you have and start the discussion about how they could be improved.

My 2c, is that I like that I got help from rondar and co. when I was starting out, including paying attention to some of the finer/"sad" points. I also appreciate the way that the artists all work together, and those that actually want to get better and are receptive to constructive criticism, usually get a lot of help in return. If you don't like the way that the majority choose to operate, then move on.

As for distribution, I like the way that everything is in one place. There have been a lot of people that have done a theme or two then disappeared. Those guys aren't interested in maintain links indefinitely. If people want to distribute stuff themselves, then great, go ahead, but don't bitch and whine about the way that the rest of us are choosing to do it.

And as I've turned into a moderator nazi recently, just fucking stop this bickering and pointless video posting or I'll lock the thread. If you're upset about that, go re-read my first sentence again to understand why I'm taking this stand.

EDIT - Scooter - love that avatar!

hello guys, I have a suggestion to make. It would be also be interesting to add a section to the theme creators where they can put themes that everyone will do to avoid making the same themes.

Might as well make a list of themes that we create in the future.

What do you thing about this idea?

This could bring some clarity.

Thanks Ash

If someone likes a game enough to make a new theme then that gives the end user more choice. If the theme builder starts a build thread and posts the raw images they intend to use usually other people jump in and say that the theme has already been done or they sometimes post new images with better artwork or more characters just to help the artist out. Seen that a lot. I agree with the concept although the themes should be in the downloads section anyway and should only require a bit of searching. Game knowledge over multiple systems does help such as one game being used over multiple systems with a slight name change or whatever so guys like Brolly are able to help a lot with that sort of stuff.

And mattedsmith.... Nuff said... :D
