The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hey gang... So I've been working on my system for sometime now... and finally have a bunch of emulators with a bunch of games finally downloaded. I'm to the point now where I need to configure everything. I have a 4 person set up. My question:

Is there an easy way to set up the basic joystick/button configuration to ALL the emulators at one time ??? Or do I have to go into each game system individually and set up the joystick/button config one system at a time ?

I appreciate your input !!!

Mike,

Unfortunately, there is no way to to set the controls for each emulator at once. They must be setup one by one. Now, there was a project a short time ago, to make this process a little easier. To standardize the controls so they do not conflict with each other.

This is a good read and I have had no trouble since I redid my setup with these controls:

Thanks Pole for all your work on this project!

Thanks,

Ron

I plan on having a wireless keyboard to scroll up and down and enter in hyperspin sitting next to the couch, and then old school controllers for each system mapped to their respective emulators so you just pick up the controller for the system you are playing and that's that. But yeah, it is a pain to go into each emulator and program inputs. Only thing I have a hard time with is remembering each emultator's savestate feature, some you can change, others you can't.

Can't you use HyperPause to handle save states, or doesn't it work for all systems yet? I must confess I haven't used it very much so this is just guesswork!

Sent from my phone using Tapatalk, probably while at work...

I have no idea, I don't know how to use hyperpause. Haven't even begun to check it out. I keep seeing threads on it, but I have had such a struggle just setting up everything to work together that I never quite got around to delving into hyperpause stuff. But if it can handle save states that would be cool!

Configured the save state load states for NES, SNES, and GAMEBOY ADVANCED tonight. Gotta say, hyperpause is an amazing feature! boy and I thought just having the hyperspin/hyperlaunch running was a great way to play games,...the hyperpause experience just brings it all full circle! I mapped the hyperpause key to the guide button on my xbox360 controller. Now that button can be useful! haha.

You can also set up a "Shift Key" with Xpadder to handle Save/Load States. For example, Hold down the start button on the 360 controller and then press LB to save, or RB to load etc... very handy.

What is Hyperpause used for ? I was just looking for something to set up all the button / joystick configs for each emulator in one shot.. but the hyperpause thing sounds interesting...
