i was using synctoy but it is crap

with synctoy...if you change something on backup.....it does not replace it next time you sync etc

check out "DSYNCHRONIZE"

this program seems AWESOME so far

keeps an exact copy as far as i can tell

after the initial scan only takes a minute or so to do a backup

100% free

easy to use

on the backup file it will delete files that have been deleted on the original file

on the backup file it will add files that have been added to the original file

on the backup file it will replace files that have been changed in the original file (i.e. if you REPLACE one wheel image with another (with same name))

scroll down for "DSYNCHRONIZE'"

(i have no financial relationship to this program)

i just did a backup

here is what it looks like

Does it sync to multiple target drives?

When you find great deals on Craigslist for CRT based cabs, exuberance can be a bad thing!

Current status of cabs:  0/5 working as desired :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Yes Albert

Cool. Because I have a very specific application that I want to use this for :). Mubawahahahaha!

FreeFileSync here also, it does exactly what i want it to do. There are alot of options, from doing a 2 way sync, to doing just a one way (Mirror). For backing up, i just use the Mirror mode, works perfectly :D

Even options on how it will do the comparison, for speed you can do date/size and for those that time doesn't matter you can do a crc comparison. I recommend date/size as the normal for a backup with a crc sync every once in a while.

Another here for FreeFileSync. As long as you are careful when you install, you will not get any of the adware/3rd party crap. FreeFileSync is quite a bit more flexible than dsynchronize, however if it (dsynchronize) does what you need it to do there is no need to switch. I'm just providing info for future reference.
