Corx - Rebel Racers (Germany)

Figured out search for Rebel Racers yielded better results for artwork rather than Corx....  Which is not even on the box which is why I had this one with out a box and was using a title screen for the wheel.  All better now.

Which of the 12 zip files for the box uploads has the new latest stuff in it?

Just trying to avoid downloading the full 1 gig plus worth again.

Thanks for the hard work.

I updated the downloads for the wheels and boxes.  Wheels download has a C64 Wheels 12-12-2017 Update Only.7z that is just the updated wheels.  Boxes download has a C64 2D Boxes 12-12-17 Update Only.7z that is just the updated boxes.  If you have been following along and keeping your c64 stuff up to date then those are the only 2 files you need.  If you have not been following along and need the whole thing, then download all the multipart zips for each and extract away.

Good luck! Cheers!

Yes indeed! Thank you. You given me a big break from bezels as I been spending all my time working on my C64 setup and enjoying the memories.

For some strange reason thou WinVice just doesn’t play nice on my rig when I run games or anything on WinVice I get a big black box in the upper left corner over the top of whatever I run. I don’t get that when playing it thru C64 Forever thankfully.

Never had that problem myself unfortunately,l glad you are enjoying, it's nice to slap some art in and just play games. I took all the games away from my kids for a bit except c64 so it got me hooked on fixing a few things on my setup ;)

I figured why it was doing that. Turns out I needed to disable fullscreen optimizations checkbox under the compatibility. Now goes fullscreen correctly.

I have a question for you. Is it possible to run a cart like Action Replay and a game at same time within RocketLauncher? I managed to do it within C64 Forever and works quite well. The Action Replay or Super Snaphot cart runs first then after you exit the carts menu it runs the game so you can use the cart with the game. The only negative right now with C64 Forever is they don't have a shortcut for the cart freeze button you have to go to window mode and click on the cart freeze option. which is not good if you want to be in fullscreen only.

If so how do you do it with RocketLauncher.

Anyways .... keep up the great work man as you really go me back into the system again!

No I just use those carts on real hardware. Love my final cart 3, supersnap and fastload carts.

Me as well! Super Snapshot 5 and WarpSpeed were my favs!

I am  looking at the module code and looking at creating my own custom module that will do what I mentioned.

Been playing C64 games on the VICE x64 Retroarch core.  Looks magnificent with the CRT-Easymode shader and Colodore color palette (superior to pepto) on my Vizio 43" and already pre-configured DS4 controller.  However,  all my multi-disk C64 games are useless now as far as launching them through HyperSpin.  I have to create separate cmd line shortcuts pointing to "flipfiles" if I want to disk swap C64 games with retroarch & VICE x64.  Has anyone figured out how to swap C64 disks when launching games through HyperSpin vis RocketLauncher?  The C64 is my favorite computer of all-time and I'd love to continue using HyperSpin to launch C64 roms.

I just use the older version that works. Having working disk swapping is more valuable to me atm.

There is a thread over at rocketlauncher forums that has notes about making flip files and editing modules so you could have a look at that.

Alas, I didn't have any luck over on the RocketLauncher forum, aside from being sternly warned about posting in the wrong topic.  So I posted again in the right topic and... *crickets*  I don't think there's much activity over on RL anymore and therefore not much support.  I know RL has a MultiDisc/MultiGame feature but I don't think it's configurable with the VICE x64 core I'm using in HS/RL with retroarch.

Well, something tells me I won't have much luck, waiting only 24 hours or not,  since it felt like blind luck that I stumbled upon the retroarch module hack that allowed me to run the VICE x64 core in RocketLauncher in the first place.  Yes, I'm a pessimist.

Happy New Year All!  I hope everyone is well!  It has been a while since I have posted on this thread.  I haven't seen much on the C64 artwork front as of late for logos on boxes that match.   While this existing set is impressive a couple of things always bothered me:

1. quality was lacking

2. the Encore boxes

The encore boxes are fine but the are generally re-releases and not the original boxes in most cases.

Over the course of 2018, logos were reviewed and matched to games and boxes in the database to provide a newer more accurate set of logos for people to use with their front end of choice.

Over the course of 2019, boxes were reviewed and matched to the database. Some boxes like the AD&D ones were recreated from high resolution scans. Rather than discarding and keeping boxes that were setup for 400px wide by whatever high(good for use for a frontend), I kept all the larger cleaned up versions as well to share.

Between the Alternates and the Main logo set there is over 3000 logos now...

Cheers!
