I know it's late and that djvj will sort this, but in the meantime, and for Austin's benefit (oh great modifier of mods) I found that the bios checks were missing a "\" before the bios names, as in

IfNotExist, %retroSysDir%\disksys.rom

Added this and fixed the problem. This is in lines 149, 154, 156, 158 and 163.

THANK YOU!

Finally decided to update RA and was having that same problem with bios files not being found, drove me nuts trying to figure out what was set wrong. Of course it was something that simple.

I'm having trouble loading Sega CD in RA. I've changed the Module and entered the backslashes but I'm getting an error about the ahk window and I'm not sure how to fix these types of errors. Do I use AHK and do a grab of the window or have I stuffed something up by tweaking the module?

I can load the game outside of Hyperspin normally with no trouble. I'm using the picodrive core. Could anyone suggest how to fix it please?

I've put the error log below:

I just ran the same game, your getting the error because Hyperlaunch has timed out because the game hasn't started.

I compared my log to yours, in yours there are some strange references to Syswow64? but mainly I notice you did not rename your config file to Sega CD.

Hi thanks for trying to help! The SysWOW64 is used to activate older programs. I'm using windows 8.1 as an operating system and windows xp 64bit on my arcade machine.

I changed the config file to Sega CD and went into the config and set a static path for system to the directory of the rom. So:

system_directory = "D:\Hyperspin\RomFiles\Sega CD"

In the config directory I have:

Sega CD.cfg

genesis_plus_gx_libretro.dll

I haven't had to manually name the file to match the system name in the past. I can play all the other systems without doing this. Why is this different?

Also, it doesn't load the game, but rather it loads to the Sega CD bios file. How do I get it to load into the game?

You say you tweaked the module and may have messed it up? I use Austins modified module with additional systems added, but I think Sega CD was in the original module?

Perhaps give it a try. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?36930-Complete-RetroArch-Guide-For-Noobs&p=343563&viewfull=1#post343563 Make sure you check and change the paths to the cores in HLHQ.

So your not getting that error anymore, RetroArch is loading at sitting at the Sega CD bios screen. Can you access the core information screen?

i know this is late but i currently converting psx files to cue and bin files they are ccd, mdf, and nrg files and they convert no problem i do this by using daemon tools lite and anytoiso i mount the ccd to daemon tools first then go to this computer on windows 8.1 and then right click the drive you use for daemon tools lite then go down to create cue/bin and save it to filename that is in xml of the rom your converting place it in another folder in same folder and you got cue and bin or cue and iso having tried that one yet hope this helps also i had problems with ps1 games loading so i took cue out of extensions for it to work

It seems as if some of those having issues are using a certain "made for hyperspin" pack. quite likely the PD one.

Retroarch and mednafen respectively does accept clone-cd images but they are very picky about which ones it will accept. You are better off just getting the trurip release and renaming the games using hyperspin cue renamer.
