Have these been moved? renamed? Does the xml need updating? I thought it was .154 already???

I'm getting uTorrent to check my CHD's right now, but a quick look at the list shows for example.

XML------- CHD

calspeeda--calspeda

carnevil1--carnev1l

chaoshea--chaosheat

chaosheaj--chaosheatj

cps3booto

cps3bs32

cps3bs32a

ddrbocd

vaportrxp--vaortrx

wargodsa--wargods (folder name) wargods_08-15-1996.chd

Not sure which is right or wrong, but I assume they need to be checked against the dat.

I use split sets... I have not done the new .154 chds yet. I have a set of 0143 chds but I am to understand that they changed structure so upgrading won't be easy, probably have to re get the whole thing. I guess that is what's going on here. These sets are chd???

Thanks for linking me to this threat, GigaPig. Sorry I missed it the first time...

I'm running into the same problem, using clrmamepro verified split set including 0.154 CHDs.

Looks like there are potentially 2 issues here:

- name mismatches

- games listed in the XML that don't exist in the rom set (ie, futariblk)

This comes up every so often and should be clear by now, once again HLHQ isn't a dat file based rom auditor so it will always show files missing for MAME sets regardless they are split or merged. To make sure your MAME sets are up to date ALWAYS use a rom manager like cmp or romvault for auditing.

HLHQ auditor will simply match existing roms in your rompath/extensions against your XML file and that's it, so it will show missings on MAME sets due to different reasons namely: several chd files aren't named after the rom names, several clone roms might not exist since they will be inside the parent roms (this will surely happen a lot in merged sets).

Brolly,

One final clarification, please...

Is my understanding below accurate?

These games SHOULD fail to launch via HyperLaunchHQ, but they WILL launch via HyperSpin, correct?

Posted

No, they will fail to audit through HLHQ, but they will launch just fine through both. HyperLaunch is what does the launching so it makes no difference from where you are trying to launch the games. Just make sure you set skipchecks to rom only for MAME.
