subzero1970 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I have a problem running Dc games via HS. All my ISO's are in GDI format with .bin track files and each game is in their own folders, which hyperspin wont find/launch - is there a workaround for this???
guyverjay Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 RocketLauncher will boot GDI files in their own folders just fine
subzero1970 Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 i appear to be having more problems with it now, im using demul as my emulator, everything plays fine outside of HS, but wont run a single game from INSIDE HS
sucramjd Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 hyperlaunchhq log?yes your hyperlaunch hq log, are you using nulldc or demul? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sucramjd Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 you might wanna try nulldc instead never had any problems with it [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
gigapig Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 No, your Hyperlaunch log, not HLHQ, as they are different. Make sure it set to level 10, so in HLHQ change logging level to troubleshooting. Thanks. I also prefer nulldc.
Awakened Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 You could convert the GDI's to CHD using this converter. Those might be easier to load since they're single files and they are compressed and save space. Both Demul and NullDC support CHD. I tend to find Demul has better emulation overall with the DX11 plugin and removing the part of the hyperlaunch script that disables Auto Sort. Disabling that causes graphical defects in Dreamcast games; I haven't noticed any games that benefit from disabling it. Maybe it only helps with Naomi stuff. Even with Auto Sort on, there are a few games like Bangai-O that work better in NullDC, so it's useful to keep around as an alternate.
Suhrvivor Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Did you disable Daemon Tools on HyperlaunchHQ? That might fix the problem.
subzero1970 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 the problem I seem to be getting now is an error message that says 'Sega Dreamcast is an invalid system name or nulldc.exe isn't supported yet'
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Sounds like it could be a few things.... 1. Ensure the name of the System is EXACTLY as it is in the hyperlainch/media/icons folder... including case sensitive. 2. Go into "Global" Emulators in HLHQ and ensure NullDC or Demul, whatever your using is setup. 3. Ensure that you are running the most current version of HLHQ and make sure your modules are up to date and match the current HLHQ 4. If it was not up to date... repeat steps 1 and 2 Its a pain in the ass... but its worth it! Good luck padawan Simply Austin's YouTube

subzero1970 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 i dont seem to have a hyperlaunch log anywhere
sucramjd Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Yeah what gigapig says where just clutching at straws otherwise, i had nulldc set up and running within ten mins this morning. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
sucramjd Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 i dont seem to have a hyperlaunch log anywhere do afresh install, save your media and roms and start over, should take you no more than an hour to set up dreamcast, dont know what other systems you are adding, but dc is pretty straight forward. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
gigapig Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 i dont seem to have a hyperlaunch log anywhere Make sure it's set to troubleshooting. If you don't see the log in the your hyperlaunch folder, you may have windows explorer set to not show extensions. The file will be just named "Hyperlaunch" When posting, please include the code tags.
subzero1970 Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 ok, will try and get a log uploaded as soon as
