DrMoney Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Here's some loading screens I've made for a few systems on the FTP. The backgrounds are transparent to match your fade in color so the 3DO one is pretty much invisible with the white on here. Feel free to add more! Here's a short guide on how to get these running: 1. Make sure you've got the current modules with fade support. 2. So say you want the SNES loading screen; just drag my folder "/Upload Here/Dr Money/Loading Screens/Super Nintendo Entertainment System" over your local "*:\HyperSpin\Media\Super Nintendo Entertainment System". 3. You may get a prompt asking if you want to overwrite "Middle.png". say yes and it'll replace your old one with the new ones from the FTP and then you're done! If you're trying to use the PC Game loading screens, just take whichever one you want (Sonic Generations.png) and put it into your local "*:\HyperSpin\Media\PC Games\Images\GameStart\" folder and make sure it is named exactly the same as the respective wheel art. Be sure you're using the current fade supporting Pc Launcher Module as well. TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
DrMoney Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Oops, realized I had the wrong files up. They're under /Upload Here/Dr Money/Loading Screens TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
Guest fr0stbyt3 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Umm, ok how to do you enable loading screens.
DrMoney Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Same as you would with djvj's scripts. Just rename them to "Middle.png" and put them in your GameStart folders. TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
synakcm Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Button layouts during the loading screen are a nice idea too.
DrMoney Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Personally, I'm going the route of real controllers with Blissbox so that might be overkill for me. Plus these would be nice for people that are starting out with their build or making all the templates seems daunting. Other than that, I agree with you. rdhanded2 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 DrMoney, in your folder you have the SNES and NES file names swapped. My Tekken 3 pedestal conversionBasement Bar / Arcade
DrMoney Posted June 27, 2012 Author Posted June 27, 2012 Crap, sorry about that. I'll fix that when I get home and probably up some more. Thanks for the heads up. TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
rdhanded2 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Not a problem. I was not paying attention and added them this morning. When I launched I noticed. lol My Tekken 3 pedestal conversionBasement Bar / Arcade
chartwel Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Thank you. These are really awesome. Much appreciated. Hope you complete all systems
DrMoney Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Not a problem chartwel, I'm working on it. I've reorganized the Loading Screens into nested folders so you can just drag and drop with out having to rename and sort. Also just upped: TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
DrMoney Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 I've started a mini-project with these: for the Pc Games I've figured out how to have per game loading screens that are as easy as resizing a cool wallpaper for your favorite games. Plus you can change the font on a whim by just overwriting the Top.png file. Just make sure your new screens are 1024x620 as this trick relies on the images centering correctly. These ones are on the ftp if you want to try them out. I'll be back and forth between these and the regular system ones but here's some screenshots to give an idea of what I mean. djvj Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Cool! Nice to see you guys are really enjoying this feature and running with it. relic Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 such a brilliant idea how do you apply these exactly 100%
djvj Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Follow the guide from the HyperLaunch 2 thread. DrMoney Posted June 29, 2012 Author Posted June 29, 2012 Follow the guide from the HyperLaunch 2 thread. Basically this relic, you should be able to just drag and drop for them as well. You may have to rename some files since there isn't a standard naming convention for PC Games yet but FatMatch should cover you for this. Also, just added several more of these PC ones, another Top.png with a different font and a default screen in case you don't have one set for the launching game: TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
DrMoney Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 Upped several more PC Game Loading Screens, do feel free to add some. Here's some samples: TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.

djvj Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Anyway those images could have black backgrounds, or something dark, like an alt set? I try to stay away from anything with white backgrounds, it's not good for your eyes. relic Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 i agree with djvj besides black or dark would look so much better 100%
DrMoney Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 They're all transparent so if your fade color is black then it will look black. They only look white when I post them on here. For instance, when I launch they look like this: TUTORIAL!: Xpadder and You If you're super into using genuine controllers for emulation check THIS GUY out.
