Super Famicom 3D Box Art

Okay, this is my first set of box art so go easy. I just used a generic template for right now, I'm working on another for the horizontal boxes. Any pointers/complaint/ideas?

Ah, well it's definitely a good start. Do you mind me asking where you got your art from? Those sources are way cleaner than anything I'm finding.

Good news for Super Famicom fans, I heard through the grape vine that Circo is going to start on the SFC videos once he's done with the new NES set!

Are you just making in these in Photoshop or are you using a rendering program? These are really good.

I am using photoshop and imandix

With regards to the Famicom horizontal boxes, the only ones I did were sailor moon and star ocean, the others were done by a guy called Death at another site.

All the Pal Boxes were done by me using photoshop

wassup guys? i'm new to the forum and also new to photoshop and making 3D boxes. I wanted to do this for my PS3 and i couldn't find any 3D boxes online and when i finally seen you guys' boxes in the forum i was immediately inspired. here's some samples, i know they're amateur at best, but i'm still trying to learn...if you guys have any pointers, please feel free to enlighten me. Here's some more joints...not every box is final...the first one, "Ganbare Goemon" took me hours just to clean it up before starting to make the box. Found a HORRIBLE front box scan on Gamefaqs and went to town anyways...here's some more stuff i been putting time into...

Looks cool, nice work. Where are you finding the scans to create these? Especially the spines are hard to come by in decent quality.

Yay at least someone else is carrying on from where I started, I lost my template and just didn't want to start again, my folder on the FTP strangely enough disappeared as well

well as far as where you can find them...this is the only place i've posted my work at. i've download so many great packs here before i just figured the least i can do is contribute and give back. The scans and spines are usually HORRIBLE quality and i end up having to paint them in photoshop and do other things to clean them up before even starting. The spines most of the time are really hard to come by, sometimes i'll get lucky and stumble upon some, other times i'll just have to make em from scratch like that Ganbare Goemon one, the Cyber Knight box, and the "Pop'n Magic" box on page 2 (the really colorful pink box). But anything you guys like, have at it. i'm just here to help with what i can, in no way am i a pro, just learning as i go along, thanks for the critique fellas

@Guyverjay, dude your work is awesome. not being able to fine 3D super famicom boxes and then finding this thread with your work is the reason i jumped onto this project in my free time. thank you dude. you should consider getting back into it, your work is great! you say you lost your template? I've used one of your boxes (Cyber Knight 2) as a template for alot of these boxes. i've reconverted it from jpeg to transparent png if you want it. But if you do get back into this i'd appreciate it because it would be less for me to do and also because i wouldn't mine pointers with photoshop to get better and also tips on horizontal boxes (i'm not great with those yet) thanx for your hard work man...i'll box your cyberknight 2 box now so you can grab it if you like, hope you don't mind dude!
