Hi guys,

I have dreamcast working nicely with demul, with one (major) problem, I can not get it to go into full screen.

Any ideas?

Config --> Video --> Use Fullscreen Enabled

Tried different resolutions, stretch etc it always stays windowed.

Any help please?

EDIT - ALT Enter just stays in fullscreen for a split second and then returns to a window.

Be sure you have Fullscreen set to default in the module settings if you are setting it in the emulator.

If not, set it to true.

Thanks,

Yeah it is set to true in the module.

I cant even get it to go full screen outside of HLHQ or HS.

From the module notes:

; Read the tooltip for the Fullscreen module setting in HLHQ on how to control windowed fullscreen, true fullscreen, or windowed mode

; Windowed fullscreen will take effect the 2nd time you run the emu. It has to calculate your resolution on first run.

Not sure if this will help or not.

Thanks,

Ron

Mmm... strange behavior ... something is preventing you for running anything fullscreen? only with Demul right? If it is, something is wrong with the emulator. Download the latest stable release. Delete all your old settings, .ini info, etc. Start fresh and just configure the emulator to run full screen, nothing more. Try that.

Do you want it streched or 4:3? I have mine running full screen at 4:3 with a bezel. I can drop the module and my settings on the FTP tonight is that helps.

Thanks guys. If i run demul on its own then it refuses to go into full screen. If i do what rfancella says then it runs full screen in HLHQ but flickers like crazy.

I have removed demul and installed nullDC and it now works perfectly.

Reading around it looks like a dx11 plugin issue. I am running windows 8.1 which is dx12 i believe, so i guess the issue is related.

I think NullDC is a better emulator anyway. But there are a hand full of games that will not run on it. You will still have to use Demul for some. Here is the list I have so far:

Resident Evil 2 (USA) (Disc 1)

Resident Evil 2 (USA) (Disc 2)

Armada (USA)

4x4 Evolution (USA)

Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX (USA)

POD - Speedzone (USA)

Atari Anniversary Edition (USA)

BANG! Gunship Elite (USA)

Bust-A-Move 4 (USA)

Caesars Palace 2000 - Millennium Gold Edition (USA)

Championship Surfer (USA)

Evil Dead - Hail to the King (USA)

But I'm only through the E's. ;)

Thanks,

Ron

Weird, I'm at W8.1 + demul ... no problems. Nvidia card
