Hey guys, we're about to start up another biggest loser competition up at work so i figured i'd turn it into a HyperFit event too. Not so much a competition on here, just more for fun. I recently got a copy of adobe premier so I'm going to try to do some videos similar to Steve's from last year. Im going to try to eat better this go around and get more exercise. I'll make a video soon, first weigh in is tomorrow. whos with me?

I'm always with you Hazzard, hopefully our resident Ben Pakulski (Sub Z) can give you some tips.

Me, I have the body of 2 Greek Gods. ;)

Eating less is a good start, I've been a little pig over winter, time to buy a smaller plate. Porridge is goooood.

of course you can Sub-Zero, Im sure you dont have much fat to lose but im also sure you know tips on how to lose. We have 112 people in the contest this year at work, id love to have at least 5 here. Let me start off by asking what you guys normally have for breakfast. Normally I dont eat breakfast. If i eat anything its a Monster Ultra white to drink and a belvita breakfast bar. Im not sure if i NEED to eat a breakfast to lose weight, Ive always been told its the most important meal of the day but im not sure im buyin that. Some mornings i dont feel like i can eat anything at all.

I'm the same, I usually have breakfast later and it's normally porridge made with milk, raisins and maybe a little cream or honey. I try to steer clear of sugar cereals.

Oats with yoghurt is also good, and oats can keep you going for longer.

I do prefer Bacon though. :)

I can make a diet and post here no problem, trust me it wil not be a fun diet. :D

And yes, your breakfast is the most important meal because it affects your eating for the rest of the day. Starting the day with a well-balanced meal that supplies adequate protein, carbohydrate and fiber keeps hunger at bay and allows you to make wise choices for the meals which follow. it boost your body to start it's engine (burning)

I've been eating healthy breakfasts every day for the most part. Usually a smooth with strawberry, Banana, Kale or Spinach, Carrots, Flax Seed Powder and B12 vitamins! But I haven't been running! I've got to get back into when settle from this move.

This is awesome!!

I'm in. Need to lose 5-10kg.

I always eat breakfast, and always have. Most of the times I eat a wholewheat or rye piece of bread with cheese or some other topping and try to put some salad or tomato or cucumber on it and drink a glass of juice.

Lsast year I lost 8kg just by adjusting calorie intake. I downloaded a app for my phone called lifesum, and it really helped me a lot. It has a huge databes with different foods and their calories and you just put in what you eat and it calculates everything for you and shows you in a visual way yor progress and what you can eat.

After a while you just start to learn what you can eat and leave the app. I ate about 2000 calories per day and lost 0.5kg per week, and it wasn't even hard.

Then some things in life changed and I started drinking and eating way too much. Now life is pretty stable again and I want to lose the kilos i gained back and some more.

I'd be interested to see what kind of diet you post Sub. I wish I had extra cash to go out and get just dieting food, but im broke as fuck on a constant basis. My meals are probably going to consist of rice and chicken breasts for a while. this morning I had a zero calorie Monster Ultra Sunrise and a little protein bar that had some nuts and shit in it. Since im in charge of doing the vending machines up at work and Im also hosting the contest, I went out and got a whole bunch of more healthy options for the machines. All kinds of little granola bars and almonds and stuff like that. Im going to stay away from sodas for a while.

You need to learn to start counting calories, it saves money. my diet is to gain weight and muscle mass. i eat 6 meals a day about 6000 calories and it cost me 10 euro's a day. you can get food with 200 calories for 3 dollars or food with 200 calories for 1 dollar. it's all what you choose in the end. the biggest problem is routine that your body is used too. and don't forget guys. a minimal of 8 glasses of water a day. and goddamn exercise! a Playstation or Xbox controller is not exercise.

Get an app for your phone to keep an eye on your calorie intake, my wife used https://www.myfitnesspal.com/ last year and also linked up her Fitbit to it.

I'm not growing anymore so i don't need to eat as much, and if i need a soda it's always zero calorie, but very rarely as the acid in those things destroys your teeth.

If you have them a lot a good tip is to eat something alkaline afterwards like cheese, to neutralize the acid.

thanks for reminding me, gonna go drink some water now. My friend at work keeps telling me that drinking a few shots of apple cider vinegar through out the day is good for digestion. any truth to that?

6000 calories?! Are you going beast-mode on us? Hope you're hitting the gym hard, separating your muscle groups daily, and doing lots of cardio at that intake. lol

Had a smoothie with spinach carrots and strawberry for breakfast.

One with apple kale and beets for lunch.

Pasta and sausage and peppers for dinner.

66 percent of my meals today were vegetables and fruits in smooth form with almond milk. Still with you Hazzard.

second weigh in was today, I lost 9 pounds just by watching what im eating and the times Im eating them. Tonight I had to run by the store so I grabbed some lettuce and some chicken thighs and had a pretty bitchin salad. Im pretty proud of myself. Im going to join in with a coworker and do a sort of metabolism shift by drinking a concoction of lemon juice hot water and coconut oil. Its not half bad and I didnt really feel hungry all day.

Good for you! Keep it up.

The problem most people has is that they loose weight too fast. Then when they reach their goal they simply forget about the diet...and in no time you are back to where you started or even heavier.

The key is to change your way of life and pick a diet you can stick to...basically forever, so better pick a good one. It doesn't really matter how fast you loose weight, it's more about that you can keep your weight down once you've lost it.

Had a spinach smoothie for breakfast and about 4 months sober. Feeling good and getting a couple of compliments at work. Nothing major but, "hey did you Lose some weight?" Is good enough for me.

Still I need to start exercising again.

It's good to be back in shorts :) My boy has started preschool, so I'm aiming to do a little running when I drop him off and pick him up; I need to get weighed as well.
