There are serious consequences to be had, if you encourage someone to kill themselves and they actually take you up on it. No laughing matter there. Support the www.thatsnotcool.com motto and you will become cool. Lead a positive example, and drown out the trolls. Thanks for reading, KL
DeFierro Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 As George Harrison would say: "isn't it a pity"... Such a lack of empathy, that's not trolling but a crime. My thoughts are with her.
Trnzaddict Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 That's horrible. People are such scumbags on the internet....they say mean stuff for no reason, post hate, etc.. Trolling pieces of shit. Whoever taunted her to go and complete it I hope their heads gets smashed by a mallet. I am......Machine
KrillCaz Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Sad, indeed. My condolences go out to her family. On that note, this is precisely why I despise this paradigm shift towards a politically correct society, and this 'protect everyone's feelings' propaganda -- it does more harm than good, imo. Instead of sheltering people from reality, we should teach people how to instead cope with reality. Bad people and trolls will always exist.
Styphelus Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Tragic and sad! However, just because someone says something doesn't mean you do it. You can't blame trolls on the internet. This guy jumped of a bridge because he wanted to kill himself plain and simple. No one forced him to do it. Being an active developer and constantly online, he knew exactly what the internet was. It's not like he was naive and was told to jump off a bridge and decided to try it out. Come on! People have to take responsibility for their actions and society has to stop blaming everyone else and attributing blame to others while deflecting blame. This guy was depressed and killed himself. He wasn't a high school kid getting bullied either. He was 23 years old. No one else is to blame here. Internet trolls will always exist. They didn't twist anyone's arm. Question is, if he was depressed where were his friends and family? It's easier to blame others than to admit they weren't there for him. Not the politically correct answer but it's the truth. I'm not trying to be mean in any way!
JayC Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 He/She was actually suffering from a very painful decease... And that's the main reason for jummping, I probably would too if tha pain was that bad at only 23 years old. Sad
Keith_Loving Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 What the person needed was guidance from friends. What the person did not need, are the remarks he/she received.
