It doesn't get more obscure and pointless than this!
Shaanxi Province CEC-I (China Education Computer)
An Apple II clone with only 3 bootleg games
Weird setup instructions:
-By default, Joysticks will not be enabled.
Mame Menu -> Slot Devices -> gameio= joy
-Write ini file so joysticks will stay connected
-Disks must be swapped for both flyingaxe(Conan) and sherlock(Sherlock Holmes)
- Hash file has been adjusted to load Disk 2 first (to allow use of autoload states)
- load flyingaxe or sherlock, go into Mame Menu->File Manager-> change floppydisk1 flop1 to disk1 (must navigate to flyingaxe.zip or sherlock.zip and select disk1 and reset machine.
-Follow game prompts and switch back to disk 2 when needed
-Once game is fully loaded create a save state and rename to (gamename).state.auto
-Because disk 2 is loaded automatically when then game is launched the autoload state will work.
Enjoy!!!
An obscure Japanese computer from 1982 with only 3 games.
I couldn't get the Hash file right to load each game disk.
Instead I used 3 different clone computers to each to load a different game.
Create an .ini file each pc and edit them with the correct slot device and .d88 file.
Instructions are in HASH - CFG - Controls.zip
Digital Equipment Corportation PDP-1 (Programmed Data Processor-1) made in 1958 and had the first computer game (Spacewar!) in 1962.
There are only 2 games but is historically significant, so I felt it needed some attention.
I made bezels for each game with loading instructions on the bezels. SpaceWar! does take about 20 seconds to load.
Adjust Screen Vert Position to 0.146 to line up with bezel. I believe the cfg file already have that adjustment.
Bandai Super NoteClub (1995) is a children's laptop/toy with cartridge games.
No sound support yet but graphics/speed seem correct
None of the autoload methods will work. The gameload icon is on the second menu screen in lower right.
Adjusted the Vert and Horz Strech to 50% in the Mame Sliders Menu to fit the bezel.
I believe the snotec.cfg file I uploaded will already adjust the image size.

Is it the worst console ever made? Possibly. But I still had fun making this setup!
Nintendo Family BASIC/Famicom keyboard/Cassette setup
This was complicated to set up and I apologize if my instructions are confusing but I did get all the games running and loading directly to game.
Instructions
I did not create most of this content
My alterations:
Converted database and media to mame sl names
Removed incompatible games (no controls/glitched)
Created alternate wheels with just game names
Remade main video to showcase only working games
Made alternate main wheel
Mapped controls
1970's Home Console Project
A clone of Interton VC 4000 but with 1 exclusive game.
I set the controller to paddle so I could run 3 games that were not possible to control on my Interton VC 4000 setup. Control on the other games may be better or worse with the paddle controller.
So, this system is justified because it has 4 additional games and an alternate control style.
Must open Mame Menu and configure:
Machine Configuration: Treat Joystick As: Paddle
*paddle setting may already be set in mpu1000.cfg but I'm unsure
1970's Home Console Project
I'm working my way through every first and second generation console on mame software list.
Here is another of the "1292 Advanced Programmable Video System" series.
Only 2 games are dumped and they are just variations of existing games on VC 4000 and MPU-1000.
I had to split the games between the Rowtron TVS and MPU-1000 to utilize joystick and paddle in the same system
The controls are barely responsive on Monster Munchers but they still "work".
1970's Home Console Project
Another second-generation console in the "1292 Advanced Programmable Video System" series with some more unique games.

A follow up to my FM Towns Marty Setup
125 addition games running on FM Towns II UX models
This is for use with Mame Software list CHD "fmtowns_cd" set
I have made a "Games" folder that is prepped with all user/boot/utility disks necessary. Just drop in the fmtowns_cd CHD files into the corresponding folders.
All games are either incompatible on the Marty or require mouse input
Mouse is mapped to left joystick and L1 and R1 for buttons
I heavily modified the fmtowns_cd hash to load the needed boot/user disks to launch games.
Some games require User Disk creation from the in-game menu.
For example: Perfect Soko-ban
For some reason the disk need to be formatted every time the game is launched. I don't know if this a RetroArch/MAME limitation or if it will correct itself later after progress is saved.
This will be the end of my FM Towns project for now. Between the UX and Marty model I have gotten 390 games to load through RetroArch/MAME/Rocketlauncher.
The remaining games:
- Require boot disks I cant find
-Require HDD installs (cant get working in MAME)
-Suffer from significant slowdown
-Have unmappable controls
I hope my FM Towns work will make this system more accessible so more videos can be created.
FM Towns Marty RetroArch(mame - current) setup
This is for use with Mame Software list CHD "fmtowns_cd" set
I tested all 783 games and ended up with a set of 264 playable.
Conditions for included games:
Compatible with 2 virtual gamepads
Boots straight to game (no Towns OS)
Does not required mouse
Any game left off this list will be in a future expanded FM Towns setup.
I have made a "Games" folder that is prepped with all user/boot/utility disks necessary. Just drop in the fmtowns_cd CHD files into the corresponding folders.
I created my own hash file so make sure to download that and the retroarch fmtmarty.cfg for controls.

I've always avoided this system because there are only 3 games and its barely what I would consider to be playable. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could make an interesting theme and completely playable with an xinput controller.
