Wow. I do believe you were verbally assaulted by a complete dumbass! There seems to be a lot of shenanigans going on these days. Maybe it's retaliation from a member of the French site that was busted recently. It could be from one of the haters over at KLOV (see here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?24665-Emulation-talk-on-KLOV), lashing out because they cannot wrap their T-Rex sized cerebrum around what needs to be done to get HS and all related functions running correctly. Or maybe it's just another bored troll. Their lack of command of the English language did provide a small source of amusement, I must admit.

I'm pretty confident that I can speak for the majority of the community here when I say that the opinions expressed within said dumbass' email do not reflect our true feelings regarding your involvement and programming skills.

It's not worth much, but I'd love to invite this derelict over to my side of town and administer a Texas style ass whoopin'.

I think this individual does not understand what we are all trying to accomplish. This is not a commercial product; it is a hobby project. It is not a competition. We are sharing new innovative ideas and concepts. All of us developers have great relationships with each other.

We are all writing tools as it is part of our way of expressing how much we love this frontend and community. We enjoy coding this stuff. Think of it as another channel for us to experience the feeling of nostalgia.

Yes, there are several similar tools out there for HyperSpin and I can see someone thinking, "why are there so many options?". We write these tools because we love HyperSpin, the nostalgia, and the community. We learn from each others tools on what works and what doesn't.

Most of the community may not notice; we share each others concepts and code. Even the next version of Don's HyperSpin tools uses one of Rain's libraries! Rain (one of my fellow friends) and I chat quite a bit with each other. We have shared all kinds of ideas with each other and implemented them in our projects.

From a developers perspective, I don't care if the tool I write becomes obsolete. If anything, i'm honored knowing that I have the sense of satisfaction in knowing it was a stepping stone to creating a product which makes everyone's lives easier. The fact of knowing that someone took an existing idea and made it better is stellar. This is what helps drive innovation.

Our development community is very friendly and close community. We are all in this together. It's a great thing having multiple options or programs for one solution.

Hopefully this post will help give the misguided an understanding of that we are all in this for the hobby. Don't criticize the fact that there are similar tools. Instead, appreciate the fact that these tools are a form of encouragement for what we are all trying to accomplish.

A while ago you helped me out by remoting my pc and I know youve done it for many others so for that and everything else you've done I thank you. Whoever said that BS should be banned! I would love to have a talk (face to face) with this dumb mother'Fer. I also hope they read this post and have the balls to respond like a man. Rain may be nice about this crap but I won't hold back to this kind of BS. Sorry for the rant but I'm still PISSED!

I get why this pisses off a lot of people and it kinda pisses me off as well, but the overwhelming feeling I get from this is that it's just, well sad... makes you stare in disbelieve. The 1st thought is ban this fool!, but I'm actually glad to see Rain made the choice to be the bigger man and I hope he speaks for our community as a whole, I wish I could keep my temper like that. We can all rant about it, want to give him an ass whooping, call him names, but in the end this person clearly doesn't know us or what he's talking about. Some people are just not made out or able to understand, get caught up in their own world and imagination or lack the ability to reason and lack common sense (to put it mildly). Lost cause, case closed.
