Think i figured out my controller situation. I haven't been able to get two controllers configured in rocketlaunch for some time now so I created a custom batch file. The rocketlaunch is able to load xpadder with only one profile it seems.

Example batch file:

Start G:\...\xpadder.exe P1 P2

G:\...\game.exe

G:\...\xpadder.exe /C

The batch file loads xpadder and then closes xpadder once game.exe closes.

Am having similar issues, do you mind sharing a 2 player batch file so I can modify it to what ever game I need it on?

Also are you using said batch file to launch the game in Rocketlauncher?

Thx

Not all games use the same batch file, some require different parameters to run correctly. If you already have batch files for your ttx games you can modify those to include the proper statements. However, if you're going to use the same profile for all TTX games I would recommend using RL's User Function instead to make things simple.

am aware of that... i just need to see how he loads up an xpadder profile this way...as theres a few games i want to try this on.

Hmmm.. well your HW shouldnt have compat problems with it then, as only ATi cards have had probs.  CPU, RAM, OS etc all not an issue, one of those damn things with emulation.  Evryhting should be working but its not... but be one little thing :(  Ok try the fix for those people running ATi cards...  Download THIS and run the game through it.

Hey Austin, thanks for the download. It all fired up and worked first shot (using an i3 CPU and ATI Radeon R9 280 vid card). The problem I have is the missing hair and swords like you mentioned. In the post I quoted you make it sound like that download is a fix for that? I've downloaded it, but no way am I installing it without knowing what it does exactly. I also don't want it to take my working game and make it not work.

Can you give me a bit more detail or instructions on it?

Also, you you really emphasized not being able to re-map controls in your vid, especially for those of us with cabs.

I thought I'd let you know that you can simply remap the keys using AutoHotKey under RocketLauncherUI's Keymapper tab. It was actually about as dead simple as re-mapping gets.

OK, so first let me say again thanks Austin for your vids. I've only watched the Samurai Shodown one so far, but from that vid I've learned enough to set up a few others on my own.

However with SShodown I've found that your files and .bat file run the game in an off ratio and in a  low, blurry rez.

If I run the SSED files through the ArcadePCLoader first to set the options and the controls (which works just fine and then you don't even need to use the Keymapper in RLUI) and point the .bat file to SSED_Loader.exe (instead of game.exe), then the aspect ratio is fixed, the resolution is fixed (very noticeable) and the controls work just fine (On my cab using an iPac at least). I'll aslo mention that ArcadePC Loader didn't fix my invisible swords/hair problem though. Neither does turning off AA... bummer.

Once I figured that out I also set up Chaos Breaker and Trouble Witches the same way and they run perfect. First run them through ArcadePC Loader to set resolution & options. Then make a .bat file that points to that gamesTitle_Loader.exe (instead of the game.exe or the normal loader.exe). Then set it up in RLauncher.

Still playing with it and a couple work weird. Like Haomura(sp) works good, but flips my desktop sideways. Aracana Hearts seems to play in an itty bitty box no matter what resolution I pick etc... Still pretty cool. I'll move on to your Half-Life and Wacky Racers vids soon.

Set up a few more since my last post a couple hours ago. power Instinct 5, Tetris Grand Master, Spica Adventure, Blazblue... and something else I can't remember.

The hardest thing seems to be fiddling with the available resolutions to find which works best.

For example Battle Fantasia only seems to work properly at 1366x768.

Yeah mate, basically I am getting these to run on as many PCs as possible.  If people want to tune them to run on their setups thats even better.  But the problem is that when you start adding resolutions and launch setups to the games, they have issues on many PCs.  But hey, thats another topic on it own... no time for that now... not when I bring to you the greatest game ever of this series...

Frenzy Express...  a masterpiece of modern gaming and arcade fun! heheheehe

All the TTX games I got from Austin's videos work for me... last one I set up was Half Life... works just noticed on exit I get an error but I also noticed that after playing it a few times last night... the last time I exited the game it didn't get a exit.. hopefully I won't get the error too much anymore.

I already had bunch of TT X1 games like Raiden, Trouble Witches, etc... about many 7 games that also run fine.

I do notice that with the TTX2 games I may need to add them to my new dedicated system when I get it because my current one is a bit sluggish with the TTX2 games tho playable but definitely you notice the slow down... but just having them run in the first place is the battle the won.

You can always learn a lot from Austin's vids because they're straight forward and very interesting and informative.... unlike some other folk's that are pretty damn boring and all over the place.

Thanks for the great feedback guys.. it's just great to know I am helping some of you. Plus yeah, I do like to waffle. I tried my best to cut this one down to 16 but unfortunately I slipped into the 17s.

I understand this makes people like our Jeremy cry but fortunately many of you found help in this video. Hehe

I'm not Welsh though!! Hehe I am living here for a few more months and I do like it here :)

Austin, Great use of poppet....

jeremy0203 read others people's comments on the HS forums. Many reference the unfriendly manner of them. Look at the comments you typically post. They are usually derogatory or condescending. I understand you post a lot, but a lot of them aren't helpful, their just rude. You single handily make J* leave, and never even filled the void of MAME builds like u said u would.

I understand I'm not involved in this thread or as many as u are, but I figured I would just call out what I see. Which is a bitter dude who gets jollies from being an ass in the forum. I wish I could be as awesome and cool as you.

Let me also state my intention is not to get into a post battle with you, so your rude and immature rebuttals to this won't be responded to. I just wanted to state openly what I am sure many people have noticed.

I don't care where the stuff comes from... if it's out there it's out there and people will share it. Hell the scene only ever cared about 0 day stuff anyways.. I remember when it was 0-1 only the most 0-7 day wrz. The stuff Austin posts are always things that have been out there for a while so I can't knock the guy for sharing stuff and keeping it alive.

Now as for the personal issues.. that's none of my business.

Frenzy Express crashes for me right after the controller check, i don't use xpadder as i have an ipac, is this the reason?

Any workaround?

Did you set your controls through Taito_config (or whatever it's called) before you tried to launch it?

If you skipped that step then that might be the problem.

No, but this is not a "Taito Type-X" game i think? That tool wouldn't help in this case?

Ah, probably not then. I thought this trhead was just for TTx games.

Frenzy Express doesn't work for me......

I let it do the test but then still get the error... then it gets to the warning screen and either stays there or stops working. I know everything isn't going to work on every system. everything else I got from you works fine... I already had the TTX games but the other stuff you put up works great.

bashi bashi

with this one it gets to a screen that says test button = main menu, the clock is un-setting up, please set the clock... and I'm totally lost (got this one from a site lol)

I got KOF running by using Arcade PC Loader. I set up all my Taito Type-X games through it with the added benefit that some of them use higher resolutions now and all of them seem to run a bit less flaky.
