arcade drinking games

has anyone made up and drinking games or rules that involve drinking for any mame games. we played gauntlet last night where you had to take a shot for every quarter you added things got a little crazy but it added a level of danger that reminded me of playing games in the arcade back in the day with a limited number of cash.

Some adjustments we did with friends mixing it with a roman drinking game: using shots and a bowl (well, more bowls lol) of a not deadly alcoholic cocktail (let's say vodka and vodka orange). Each roll the person who rolls change (clockwise). Those drink rolls stays, third man is not decided at start, whoever rolls a double 3 is third man... and if he rolls it twice he's a double three man, so every time a 3 is rolled he must drink twice and so on, three man change when someone rolls another 3-3. Rolls  2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 6-6 means whoever rolls it can assign who has to drink (even himself). Don't use "drinks" but sip, so strong drinkers can play with light drinkers, who's used to get drunk will make a bigger sip, believe me Number of sips are decided by roll, 2-2 means 2 sip can be assigned, 6-6 is 6 sip and so on. You can assign, lets' say, 1 sip to 3 person and 3 sips to one person, just as you like. 1-1 is a shot (in this case of vodka), who rolls it can decide who's gonna drink it. 4-1 is not "thumb master" but rule master. He can decide a rule or erase a previous rule (es drink only with left hand or saying something before drinking) when rules are not respected the trasgressor has to drink twice (if he was assigned 2 sips he must drink 4 sips), rules are cumulative (es drink with left hand AND saying something before drinking).

 

It might not seems a "deadly" drinking game as you can basically decide the "size" of your sip but after 2-3 hours the situation will surely turn into a real mess. The possibilty to choose who has to drink is actually what makes the game fun. You know, who's almost drunk will surely be picked on and the game involves "strategy" and "social skills" to avoid being actually picked on The game may obviously ends up with a rush to the nearest hospital

I think gaming and drinking great together, as long as you are playing more casual games. Games are fun to play with people who are also fun to drink with.

 

I like the idea of drinks = quarters!

 

Drinking games are easy to make up.

 

Racing games = finish a drink every lap, can't cross the finish line till you down that brew.

Fighting, sports or turn based games = loser drinks, in the case of sports make it more frequent. Like touchdowns = drink.

 

We used to play Smash Bros. with 99 lives on. Die you drink.

 

Now we have a great new drinking game. We start playing video games, and we drink the whole time.

Going to have some friends over tomorrow night 1 ounce of beer is going to equal one quarter. The plan is to do a pre game power hour to build up your bankroll, then we're going to playthrough 4 player TMNT with the option to earn more quarters as you play Last Man Standing wins $10 from everyone that played.

We used to play Wii Bowling with applecorn shots.. (cheap in euroland).  Each pin you fail to drop on your sesh, you take a shot.  Gets nasty FAST
