The issue is because of the VB integration plugin. If that was removed, normal accounts can be created and it would act like any other wiki.

That option would be preferred. 99% of people would have no problems signing up again for wiki access.

I totally agree, if integration is broken or if whoever is in charge can't get it to work right doesn't make any sense to keep insisting on it and this is being dragged for way too long now. Just disable it, at least those who care will be able to login.

In fact before the last changes nogarth made I could always login perfectly fine, so I guess that fixed it for some while it broke it for others.

NoGarth, when you get time and if you feel like tackling this, just remove that plugin entirely. I'm not sure if a wipe/fresh install will be needed because of how integrated it was though.

sjig, I would keep a local backup of the raw code for the pages you have done until this is resolved. I don't think a db wipe is needed but just in case.

Yeah, at first I thought the wiki being down was a non-starter... But GigaPig's guide walk's you through the wiki just to confirm you have everything installed.

1) .NET Framework 4.0

2) DirectX 9.0

3) Visual C++ Runtime (32 or 64... he mentiones 64 bit needs both)

Although there are links in the wiki - just google and get what you need.

He also notes to update your video card drivers.

Ok, who needs to get a PM about this. Probably, they changed the root/Administrator password when someone left the forum. Probably just needs to be set in the wiki conf file. ;)

the one who created the wiki is the one that has access im guessing so maybe you should talk to the one thats in charge
