Popular Post Avar Posted March 10, 2016 Popular Post Posted March 10, 2016 I've uploaded these to the tutorial section and archived them in my off-topic thread but now that they're fully blessed I'll be posting updates in this thread as the project unfolds. In response to demand from the community, Sub-Zero and I are working hard to bring you a polished guide to HyperSpin setup and customization. These first few episodes might not have much to offer most of you folks already on the forums but we'll be taking an overall logical approach to the series. The next few episodes will be focused on helping newcomers with actually getting properly setup to run the different types of basic core systems (ie. rom-based console, disc-based console, rom/chd based arcade, Daphne Laser Disc arcade, and PC) through HyperSpin problem free. After that we'll be diving into all of the minutia of HS tweaks/customization from the ground up. Feel free to make requests. There are a lot of topics that need covering. While we'll try our best to think of them all it certainly doesn't hurt to have feedback from the community. Avar Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Part 5 please! It's a comin! I apologize for the delay. I was away from home and then had a funeral to attend. 2
rp05 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Never mind explaining yourself Avar we should be happy about the tutorials no matter when they are released 2
Avar Posted April 5, 2016 Author Posted April 5, 2016 Thank you, I appreciate that. I don't mind though as it keeps everyone in the loop^^ I'm leaving on an op tomorrow morning but there -will- be internet and it looks like lots of bad weather so I plan to get a lot of tut work done hopefully Not sure what the upload capability will be but worst case scenario I'll do temporary 720p uploads followed by 1080p ones when I get back. 1
Quantumman2010 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Part 4 done. Writing the next now. Hey Guys thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions. Hyperspin support has not been as strait forward on some questions that I have had, and it is my hope that maybe you can answer them for me. I would like to use their USB Drive on my Xbox as a plug and play like they said, but there seems to be some issues with that I think. Secondly if I wanted to make just an individual cab dedicated to a specific game using the Hyperspin usb drive, and I was wondering am I able to do that by transferring games, and emulators to another USB drive and use the XBOX to launch them from there? Adam

Adam I think your questions would be better on there own thread, this thread is about tutorials. If your cab only had one game I would hope Hyperspin would be nowhere in sight and it would boot straight to the game.
wesfranks Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 He had obviously gone through someone else if he phrased his Post#1 like that. BTW, what is the topic of Tutorial Part 5?
Avar Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 He had obviously gone through someone else if he phrased his Post#1 like that. BTW, what is the topic of Tutorial Part 5? Adding/auditing roms. If anyone's eager to get a head start, Don's HyperSpin Tools's Rom Renamer will get the job done for most systems. 1
Quantumman2010 Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Can you use the Hyperspin USB drive on the Xbox 360 as plug and play since it is made by Microsoft, or is it just for PC's only?
Avar Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 Part 5 is up. The next several videos will be easier to do but I am also juggling Kickstarter media so stay tuned for updates. 2
THK Posted April 20, 2016 Posted April 20, 2016 lol, now where did he get that inspiration from? xD ..........................back with a vengeance........................
fares Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Emulators do not appear in list Rocketlauncherui when i use global
Avar Posted September 27, 2016 Author Posted September 27, 2016 Emulators do not appear in list Rocketlauncherui when i use global Did you modify Global Emulators.ini as per the HS/RL Installation video? If you did, is your Windows set to show extensions? If it isn't, you may have accidentally named it Global Emulators.ini.ini without knowing it. If that ends up being the case I strongly encourage you to turn show extensions on in Windows as it'll be increasingly relevant. Hope that helps. Lemme know if that fixes your problem or not!
Wachuwey Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I'm starting in this word and your tutorials are saving me. They are very easy to follow even for a non english speaker like me. Thank you so much. Keep on the good work. 1
Avar Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 Thanks for the feedback! Next video's been added and I'll upload specifically to the tut section today.
Avar Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Latest video has been added to the OP. This took a long time to make but it should make setting up the Commodore Amiga painless, especially considering it's one of the most whorish emus/systems to get running just right. Cheers! 1

Good going, I'll be interested to check this one out and why you have used WHDLoader (Or looking at the list again that may be a typo.) EDIT: I see why you used it now 1
Avar Posted February 1, 2017 Author Posted February 1, 2017 Good point! I'll change the name of that section so people don't get the wrong impression.
Avar Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 Part 9 added to OP. Quick n dirty main settings run through leading into media customization in upcoming vids: 2 1
