When installing HyperSpin, which update package is recommended? 1.4..1.5 or 1.4..1.6?

I ask because I used 1.4..16 and when updating during install their was a warning that came up stated that I may need to make manual changes in the pause menu? This message is not displayed on the tutorial

Only 1.4.16 is available from the download section so you should use that. I've no idea about the pause menu thing, never noticed a problem there.

Hi, i should have all configurations ready, and can launch games from rocket launcher but when i go to hyperspin and press enter on mame, i cant browse any games :/. If i press enter again, i go back to screen where i scroll different emulators. All other emulators work so i can browse games but they are of course only lists, no games behind them.

Other question is can I put the Hyperspin as a front end to my computer ?

Im using Hyperspin  1.4.16 and latest Rocket Launcher. Mame version is 0.190

In RocketLauncherUI i have set Hyperspin as the default as it should be. Confuzing!

Ok, now i get some games to work! I copied the Databases folders from Hyperspin to be under Rocketlauncher. A bit unlogical?

Any good advice how to get pictures to MAME, none of the games has a preview picture?

Also how to make Win10 (or7) to start directly to Hyperspin? From msconfig?

If you had to move the xml's then RLUI is not set correctly, you probably haven't set Hyperspin as the default.  There are a few things you need to set so I would suggest watching the tutorial again to see what you missed. 

And for booting straight to Hyperspin, most of us use this.

Here is what you need set, this is shown at around 5 minutes into the tutorial video.

You need to set Hyperspin as the active and default frontend.

A new user would need to grab the 1.5.1 full install,  no need for the old version.

Thanks, As I'm going through the tutorial I notice hyperhq.exe is missing in the hyperlaunch folder.  Any idea where I would go from there?

Hyperhq should be in the Hyperspin folder along with the hyperspin.exe

Can you please explain how to get the keymappers working? I'm using Xpadder and I've specified it in RocketLauncherUI but still I can't get it to work.

And I can't start any NeoGeo games from RocketLauncher either. Neither by doubleclicking or by choosing "play with mame".

Using hs ver 1.5.1

Hyper hq video path is (C:)hyperspin/ media/ mame/ video/ %1 on 1 Government (Japan)%

It matches xml exactly

It's in mp4 format and opens with wmp

I have tried putting .mp4 and .flv at the end of the file name... 

If I put it in mame front end intro file and change name to mame it plays on mame wheel intro but won't work for video snap 

I'm lost any ideas.. anything I'm missing

Ok so I figured it out sorry... some how must have depleted my mame media files... went into new hyperspin download and copied all info into correct mame media files and they work now...I believe it's because I didn't have a themedoes that sound right

These still up to date? I got a new computer, and its Windows 10 instead of the original 7 setup I have. Going to start from scratch but want to do it right from the start instead of skipping shit and going back to fill in later.
