lettuce
Wolfsoft, do you do discounts for hyperspin forum members?? Another question, i have one of these Pac-Drive PCB what actually can i do with this?? If i wanted to have feedback for my flipper buttons what would i need from Wolfsoft's site, just 2x Siemens Solonids 12DC 1x Opto Kit for Virtual Pinballs would i need a relay at all or a seprate PSU, i currently have a 750watt PC PSU in the cab? wolfsoft
Hi Lettuce, I can offer you a discount of 5% As far as I know it works with pac-drive too. First we used the pac-drive, but there is a problem with the default on of all ports at startup. I have a few with default off, so it will work. But after short testing, we found out 16 ports are not enough and we changed to the ledwiz (32ports). There are different ways to get feedback of the flipperfingers. The easiest and cheapest way is to use: a) optokit 2 siemens solonoids c) you can use your power supply (but I recoment to use separate fuses for the cirquits of the solonoids) Here you have "hardwired" the forcefeedback. Every time you press a flipperbutton, the solonoid gives you a feedback. In this config you don't need a pacdrive or ledwiz Wolfsoft, do you do discounts for hyperspin forum members??Another question, i have one of these Pac-Drive PCB what actually can i do with this?? wolfsoft
The other way is to wait until Manofwar releases the software to make different rumble effects possible. Here you can make different effects a) you can make work the buttons at the front of the pinball light as a real pinball add flasher to the top of the backglass c) add more solonoids to make effects for slingshots, bumpers... d) make shaker, replayknocker to work

shilmover
Finally go the last part (aside from shaker motor and the software)... The heatsinks. I will post pictures... cost me $9.99 for 4 of them, shipped.
shilmover
Ok. I have had the last week off and here are some of the progress I have made. The HeatSink (with LED): The topper primed: The topper painted. I attached a curved edge to the front to make it look a bit better: One of the LEDs mounted: A couple more: All three: The Resistor board: I wired up the topper to have a connector so that I can remove the backbox or topper with only having to disconnect one connector. No blue wire, so Yellow=Blue, White=+12v: Completely wired up: Installing it in the cab today and re-wiring the lights for the buttons.
shilmover
Chris|Ext2k, Which buttons do you have that change color/get lit for each game? - Start - Launch - Extra Ball - Flippers Which brings up the question, can the color of the flipper buttons be controlled? Any other?
chriz99
nice work barry, love your wiring. I have 4 transparent flipperbuttons which can change the color (to match the original pinball button color). start/exit/extraball/pause/howtoplay/launchball can be set on or off or rom controlled. shilmover
Thanks! Part of my is glad that this code is coming out as the wiring in the cab sucks (I quickly got it running for the Pinball Show last June and it looks like Ass! So you have 4 flipper buttons? Another question... In what situations would you have Exit/Paus/Howtoplay NOT lit up? Wondering if I have enough inputs to have all the lights connected. Also, do you have RGB LEDs for all of those? or just the flippers/start/launch/extraball? B
chriz99
this is my ledwiz config... you can see the full specification of each output:
shilmover
Perfect! thank you. I figured I would need 2 LED-Wiz devices (which I have)... Maybe I should rewire mine so that it is wired the same way. That way, I should be able to just use your config files, no?

shilmover
i will re-wire these today. I have RGB lights for the buttons. I may just drive them off the 2nd LED-Wiz to get RGB. 2 more requests... - What LED colors are you using for the regular buttons? (Just wondering) - Can you post a snippet of the .INI file that is used by the new software? So that I can figure out how easy it is to convert? I may just write a piece of software that would convert the files for you. depending on your config and how the .ini files are formatted.
chriz99
I use colored buttons with 12V white standard leds for start/exit/howtoplay/pause/extraball/launchball klaus (wolfsoft) wrote a little excel-script for easier ledwiz-config. we will release it with the code:
shilmover
Nice! That seems pretty straight forward. Does that then output the .ini file?
