Marquee art on canvas, What would you choose?

So it's sale time here and that includes sales on canvas printing. A company I've used before have a 60% off sale, so here's the question.

I want some marquee artwork printed onto canvas and wanted your ideas, favourites, etc. My era would be the 70's/80's so I could go for maybe Defender or Asteroids, but I'm very open to ideas, but I'm also just interested in what you like.

Thanks in advance.

May fav is not a year it is a look. I really like the big bold colours and lines you get with particular borders and marquees. This can range from the games found in DICE (artwork for which is impossible to get in vector) and the bright colours use in the 19XX games. Also many of the fighters had some fantastic art. Problem with all of it is finding high def scans or redrawn art.

finding good quality art to print is a challenge, prints on canvas tend to be low res so i stay away from these, Especially if your thinking Big W or something?

Thanks Majorspawn.

I decided on one which is going to be Burgertime, which is quite colorful and we all like playing it. The marquee I have is 6000 x 2700 so should be fine. I was also thinking of doing a flyer, but it's very hard to choose, and choosing another marquee is also tricky, thats the reason for asking peoples opinions.

Original Pacman is really sweet artwork. There isn't a person I've met that doesn't know pacman. But if you show them the Space Invader arcade art character

They will look at you strangely and ask "What is that???" :)

Although not a marquee, some of the Atari 2600 artwork Roadrunner is working on is worth Displaying.

That invader is the stuff of nightmares.

I also fancied getting a flyer done, another difficult choice, what to choose? There some great Donkey Kong flyers and some very cheesy ones.

He are some that amused me.

Wouldn't want to meet this ruthless bunch in a dark alley.

But ended up sticking to Marquees, Majorspawn was right when he said about finding good quality art, but I have had stuff printed before; one of was a 179kb file.

So the other one I went for was one of my absolute favourite games, Defender, and this alternative art to the usual, I particularly liked.

It needed a little work, so with my limited Photoshop skills it turned into this, a bit brighter.

We had friends here recently who used to play Bubble Bobble in there local arcade, I was a really surprised how good they were at it. So I'm getting this done for them as a half size marquee all the ones I'm getting are 8" X 26".

I shall post when they are on the wall. :)

Well, quicker than expected they have arrived, and I'm very happy with the results.

Here they are on the wall.

And here's a smaller Bubble Bobble for friends of ours, still in the bubble wrap.
