floatingyeti Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Just finished this: Im using Simcoupe v1.0 and would really appreciate it if someone could make a module for this. Of the 700+ roms available most are demos. Some of the games I included in the xml are homebrew and honestly even the official games feel like homebrew. I included only the games I could get to load in simcoupe. I left out the zx spectrum compellation games and this is very far from a complete list but this is about as much as I could tolerate doing. As I post this both FTPs are down but I will upload this as soon as I am able.

Also, we have an approval process through the downloads section that this doesn't quite fit in to, so I held off comments regarding that. I'm just glad that you are not only bringing some of these obscure systems to light, but spending the time to make a theme/wheel for them. I have added all of your themes to my Main menu wheel so far and I hope you continue to make more. (Hint Hint Tangerine Oric, VC4000, NEC PC 8801/9801)

Like I said, I'm thankful for your work and glad you have fun doing it. I like to uphold the rules, but they don't really seem to apply here. But still, at one point it would be good to have a proper section for them outside a personal ftp folder. ..........................back with a vengeance........................

Just have everyone upload into that folder and keep the folders as the official System Name and the name of the files follow the official rules having the user name in it and all that guff. That would work.

That would work. Trust me, there's gonna be a heap of ppl uploading crap to it. If we would do that, we should only give certain contributors permission to upload into it. But I'm not familiar with the new ftp and am no admin there. ..........................back with a vengeance........................

Then again freaks like me just know who does good stuff and downloads their entire folder regularly. I've even found some WIP in yours Tim that for most people would be considered done.

I like the way you think but that would require someone with access to pretty much everything and a lot of work. That limits the number of people that could do it considerably.
