Turranius Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Had this working fine previously. Now though, the fullscreen window pops up and goes to the background after the "loading blabla" messaeg. I have to manually click the WinUAE window for it to pop up. Setting fullscreen:false causes the window to pop up and instantly jump behind the HyperLaunchHQ window (when running it from HyperLaunchHQ). Any clues? =) Edit: Ah, HyperLaunchHQ says "HyperLaunch is not running" when it switches to the background. Something there perhaps. Yes, adding a pause to the module causes it to drop out of fullscreen later, so its not waiting for the executable to close. Sleep, 5000 Process("WaitClose",executable) Edit2: Hm, the process it starts is winuae281.exe, not winuae.exe as I've specified. I've had this problem before with WinUAE when you have multiple installations. Nothing to do with hyperlaunch. Only way I could solve it then was to rename or move the winuae executable it actually launched. Removing winuae281.exe solved it.

I have them all as different emulators using the same module. :S They all work fine. Did you get this resolved? Thanks, Ron
Turranius Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Did you get this resolved? Well, only the ugly way by removing winuae281.exe (which was actually a backup in a totally different location). Searching the registry for winuae281.exe shows it in a lot of places. Mostly for the file extensions .adf and the other Amiga specific file extensions. But when I saw it I remembered that I'd had this problem with WinUAE before (outside of HyperLaunch). You can verify your 4 installations. Run them one by one and check Task Manager. Right click winuae.exe and "Open file location". If they all go to the same winuae.exe, you have the same problem I guess...

Turranius Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Good =) Ah, about this guide, if you put your files in \HDD\WHD instead of \WHD, you do not have to edit the PathToWHDFolder in System Specific Settings. The WinUAE.ahk defaults to \HDD\WHD =) Just makes it one step easier.
craiganderson Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Is there any known issue with instruction cards and WINUAE. I got instruction cards working well with 20 systems so far. WINUAE just doesnt seem to allow them to show up ...... even though the bezel is working thanks edit: well at least for me, winuae will only allow certain keys to initiate instruction card to pop up. "F" works first system to do that to me just fyi
shadoom Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 I followed the tutorial and some games work fine and some ask for a data disk. I got the Gamebase Amiga pack but I'm really confused. I guess 3 folders of them are important: WHDLoad which consists of zips with Folder+Info in them. ROMS which has zips with ADF files in them. SPS which are a bunch of even numbered zip files with IDF files in them. I can play a game called 3D Galax without a problem even though I have done nothing with its WHDLoad files. Do I need the WHDLoad and SPS Files/Folders? If that is the case, my question is what do I do with them?
Turranius Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Check my signature for an updated WHDLoad pack. It is based on the pack here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=68704 On the FTP in my signature is that set, repackaged for HyperSpin, with XML file.
shadoom Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Thank you for the quick help but I have some issues, this i what i did. 1. I downloaded "Commodore Amiga - WHDLoad Games Roms" with all folders in it 2 .Moved the content of Update 2.3 to the Roms folder. 3. replaced the Database in my Hyperspin with your database. 4. changed the Rom folder in HLHQ to the newly downloaded folder from you All games are recognized and green in HLHQ, but when I start the game through HLHQ 1943, 3D Galax and Jaguar repeat the same flashing white stripes Wings Of Fury displays a flashing red "Software Error" screen 3D Construction Kit just stops at a black screen I feel like i did one step wrong but cant find which one. edit: the adf versions seem to run fine(?)
Capa Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Can anybody tell me how to save my display settings I've tried several things and can't quite figure it out. Trying to get it up in full screen/wide screen. Thanks.
Capa Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Figured it out. Found Ron other post on some other questions which helped out once again. Thanks Ron!

iNTiGOD Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Hoping Mr Ron can help me with this one. It seems after setting up this system the games seem to be on fast forward. Music plays at normal speed but the graphics are running at double speed (e.g. LED storm the car jumps and lands within a split second) or bubble bobble movement is 3x as fast as normal. Any ideas? There are so many options in winuae I wouldn't know where to start. Thanks

Load your existing amigahost.uae file. Click on CPU and FPU on the top left. Post a screen shot of that screen. This is mine: Thanks, Ron PS: If you make any chages to your config, be sure and save it back over your existing .../WinUAE/Configurations/Host/amigahost.uae
iNTiGOD Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Thanks Ron, Please take a look at mine below. There are some differences in my attachment but also cycle-exact emu speed is greyed out. I took the screen grab over remote desktop connection so that could be why. Ill check after work later. Edit.... Took a look at my screen shot and it has options greyed out that are different to yours... I've changed the cpu to 68000 and it seems ok.?
iNTiGOD Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned but i've noticed inputs can be blocked in winuae. For example when playing roadkill with the joystick there is a secondary button needed to fire missiles. The key is space. By default my amigahost config blocks pressing the space button and I can't fire the missile. If I open up my amigahost file, choose input from the menu, find the space key under input source, and finally click the toggle from "no" to "yes" I can now use this button. Quite useful if you want to also enable certain keys in a keymapper.
nathan1974au Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 did the walkthrough for enabling whdload! works great! thank you
Turranius Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Reminder, WHDload 18.0 is out. If you using my Amiga Rom set, I advice you update if you're on 17.2 Go to http://whdload.de Get WHDLoad_usr.lha and open it. In the WHDLoad\C folder in the .lha file is "WHDLoad" Copy that to the \HDD\WHD\C folder in your emulator folder (or just (\WHD\C if you followed this guide), overwriting the old WHDLoad file. Can make a backup of the old one first if you want.
