manicshere Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Update! I'm working on the control panel. Still need to figure out a way to connect the control panel to the cab. How have other people done this? Pics would be great! I want to be able to attach and detach it from the cabinet, while still being as sturdy as possible. Any suggestions guys?
emixama Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Hi Mani, For the electric connection? You use a computer? Why don't use USB connection? Maxime
HazzardActual Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 do you want the whole 2 player panel, wood and all, to be removeable? or do you mean how do you connect the deck(top) to the rest of the control panel?
emixama Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 All the panel is removable, on mine, there are two usb plug witch get ou from it. Just remove the usb and remove the panel. Maxime
manicshere Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 I want to be able to remove it like on your cab Maxime. I'm trying to figure out what mechanism you use the latch it on firmly and have it removable afterwards. Any pictures of how this part works would be great!
HazzardActual Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/171275529729?lpid=82 This is pretty standard for most arcade cabinets.
manicshere Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Thank you HazzardActual. Remember looking at these at one point. Might as well buy a couple and test how sturdy they feel. Wont be leaning on the control panel or anything like that, but I don't want to be anxious about it breaking off during a heated one on one session!
emixama Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 The panel of this cab is very heavy, i bought this : http://www.leroymerlin.fr/v3/p/produits/fermoir-a-cadenas-en-metal-zingue-75x40-mm-e22595#&xtmc=fermoir&xtcr=2 And no problem with brutal children lol. I take picture quickly when i have time. Maxime
emixama Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Send me an email and I send you pictures in return. Maxime
manicshere Posted June 8, 2014 Author Posted June 8, 2014 Sweet! Thanks. My grandfather was a furniture maker. I'm using his workshop. It's very likely that he has something similar to this laying around. Would just rather be prepared if I have to change the design in order to fit the latches onto the control panel.
