We'll be able to convert/grandfather flash animations just as well as anything so if you can enlist a talented animator within the community to give you a hand with that it could be done.

@KlopjerO Ok so I double checked and the first order was misleading and the seller actually had it listed as the full box but it's just the jewel case so I've canceled that order and ordered the real deal, will advise when it arrives.

Also, I've decided I'm going to start gradually curating the conversion of all of ScummVM's physical media to UHD scans/conversions over time for use in HS, HyperPause, and for future projects. Will take some time given the costs but should help breathe more life into this great collection and it will lend itself well to features to come.

Imma go for full fidelity so as long as they're mint condition and have all of the original discs/disks and documentation.

This collection is beginning to reach the age where it's becoming difficult to preserve so my overall aim with this will be to bring the joy of the real product/packaging to people who either can't afford it now or who weren't alive before the paper wore away due to the ravages of time. Will feed into another big HS dealie I have in mind for later on down the road.

I'm honestly just scared of some things going to the kind of collector who doesn't share, which seems to be the majority. The AV Archivist name is unironic I really do want to protect and preserve our culture for future generations and in this case specifically so everyone can have the thrill of browsing a game's physical media even if they'd never have a hope of touching the real thing for whatever reason. I like the idea of safeguarding what physical things I can because I know how I am with stuff (I don't think I've ever read a comic book without gloves on haha). Thinking about the finite production runs on a lot of systems/games and the finite amount of time there is to preserve what are essentially already cultural artifacts gets my (still exceptionally low) blood pressure up a teensie bit. And then there's the secondary and tertiary products, like often worthwhile guides, charts, maps, trinkets, or works of complimentary fiction.

While I'm definitely a loooong ways off from my planned end-state for ancillary media, it should give future gamers the absolute next best thing

Before the games arrive for me to scan, can anyone recommend the absolute best scanner for the job? Needs to be tits high resolution with a solid colour range and quality.
