Short update:

on Gabriel Knight 1 - should I let the hangman, hang, and swing ?
on Sherlock holmes the case of the serrated scalpel, that's coming along nicely.. if only I had not been unthoughtful and closed the file without saving, silly me.

I send an e-mail to the guys at brokensword 2.5, asking if they might be willing to provide the original PSD of their DVD cover, that might give nicer results for the theme.

nothing new yet, The creative processes are like the tides, sometimes it comes sometimes it goes... have you ever seen the box of the beast within ? it's an awesome graphic of that ghastly face coming up through the sheets...it's awesome..it just doesnt translate well theme wise... and I will not spoil that image by placing the video between it's teeth it deserves more then that.. I've not yet figured out what though..

Same thing goes with labyrinth of time, that box is so pleasantly surrealistic.. it's a marvel, it so good. I had this awesome idea of having those Escher-like columns just moving towards the screen in a loop. but I realised that if I want to pull that off I would need to rebuild that entire scene in 3D..and I lack the skills to do that. and that to me is frustrating.

I have yet to return to the neverhood... it could be finished fairly quickly...

King's Quest 7 is another one of those "there is a lot going on in this picture" type boxes... I could have those hands move and have the woman falling into the vortex move around in that vortex but how the nine hells am I supposed to animate that vortex to have it look good ?! more frustration.

Police quest 4, could be straight forward however the buildings are at an angle which makes the whole thing look very askew if you want to continue, having a boring gradient to filter it out leaves you with alot of nothing , but would give ample place for the video to rest in.

Earlier I mentioned that I send an e-mail to people at Brokensword 2.5,cheekily asking for the PSD of the DVD cover.. they replied, and they send it to me absolutely awesome! 325 mb psd... I can't open it right now because I'm at work.

@avar, it was but that was from a press kit and only included the logo.. this should ( i haven't been able to check yet) be the entire DVD cover, including the parchment, border flaming mage skull and some nick-nacks that you find on the back of it..
