shitoken Posted March 24, 2018 Posted March 24, 2018 Hi I got 2 8Bitdo Controllers one is for SNES and the other is for SFC both are single Player. They work fine with RA in both systems under Player 1. Since I got only one for each system, if I wanted to set up SNES one as P2 in RA for SFC system it wont detect and work. Any know why or how to fix?

I dont know much about multiple controllers on PC. Nope user 2 wont detect as P2 I can only see the bluetooth device as user 1. Is like my computer detecting both the controllers as bluetooth 1 only means both as one bluetooth device. That is why RA cant find any difference.Tapatalk を使用して私の MIX から送信

Bungles Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 You could perhaps use xpadder or joy2key and map the 2nd on keyboard inputs. Rowr14 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 I haven't had any issues with this with my 8bitdo pro controllers. I've got NES30 SFC30 and SNESPro. Try a different RA version? Newer if possible or go a few versions back. Also the controllers connect in different modes depending how you start them up so that can confuse things. I get some funny business getting them to initially connect with bluetooth in windows sometimes. Is it more of a Bluetooth issue than an RA one? Try updating drivers or something? Also you can try firmware updating the controllers, just follow the instructions correctly from the website.

Tapatalk を使用して私の MIX から送信 The controllers can start in four different modes corresponding with the face buttons and holding the start/power on button. It might be something added with the firmware though. There's a mode for windows, android, mac and nintendo switch. It probably defaults to windows if you turn it on normally I think? There are details on that stuff at the 8bitdo website anyway. I've definitely occasionally had to play around a bit to get the initial bluetooth connection when pairing again after using on a different device, but bluetooth can be inconsistent with a lot of devices I've found. I might try tonight to confirm I can connect with both just to be sure, I've definitely had the two smaller ones working at the same time. Also, I assume you are going into the controller settings in retroarch and making sure the two player controller is set to the right device? If you are unsure about that I can find some screenshots so you can see where I mean.

I have attached some screen shows of input 1 and input 2 Controllers connected with Bluetooth are SFC30 & SNES30 . But RA Device type always show SNES JOYPAD for both controllers nothing else for me to choose. That's why mapping will use default SFC30 and will map in both inputs 1 & 2 even thought SNES30 is on and correctly connected in Bluetooth. Example I want to play SNES system with same controller ofcourse as input 1 and SFC Controller use as spare for input 2 Alternatively if I play SFC I want to use SFC30 Controller as input 1 and SNES Controller as input 2 I tried running a game from SNES but SNES30 pad wont work at all, only SFC will work as input 1 until I turn off , then SNES will work as input 1. Turn it back it on SFC will be 1 again and can play both P1 and P2 at same time with one pad. I don't know why RA always show SNES Joystick and not SFC
Rowr14 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Hmm, I'm using the pro versions of the controllers (a little smaller with the shoulder buttons and sticks) so i can't confirm that it's not an issue with the pads as you suspect. I'll try and take a look over and see if there is anything glaringly different with what i'm doing. My only other suggestion would be to try a slightly older or newer version of RetroArch in case that works.

If this solved I was planning to buy FC30. Old memories but still prefer if have Nintendo branding ...pity
Bungles Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Is there a way you can set the unique identifier for each player within a config file? Or maybe try another emulator for SFC? shitoken Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 RA forum someone replied thisSNES Joypad is the EMULATED SYSTEM CONTROLLERThat’s perfectly normal.Anyway try a recent nightly we don’t support old builds, you shouldn’t have to do anything for those to work.Tapatalk を使用して私の MIX から送信
Rowr14 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 From the screenshots are you in some sort of settings within the emulator? Im a bit confused. This is what I see in menu. What version are of RA are you running?
gigapig Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Maybe you know this already but the device type is just the original control type for that system, so you get "snes joypad" in this case. For another system the control type may say joypad or light gun, scope, mouse etc. Choosing your actual controller is in another section.
Rowr14 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 Yes so the device index is the setting you want to change. With both controllers connected you want to go to 'input user 2 binds' and switch where it says "bluetooth wireless controller 1" over to "bluetooth wireless controller 2". This could be what you are already doing without luck, but that's what typically would need to happen assuming retroarch is seeing both controllers. I believe you confirmed already that both controllers are connecting independently through bluetooth without issue?

What I remember is under the index I just got Bluetooth Wireless and Ultimate IPAC , not sure if is BT1 and BT2
