maniacmat Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 The same way vertical games work on a horizontal monitor, it fits to screen, looks fine to me, im not sure what your getting at.
bent98 Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 I getting at they don't fit right. Sure you can make them fit, but they look like crap.

maniacmat Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 I will try and upload a videa this week of my progress and show horizontal games on the cocktail cab, I am down to 650 games, have gone through and setup all the cfg and xml files if anyone wants them, cocktail, max lives and rotate 90 deg CW.
maniacmat Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Here is the Hyperspin demo with horizontal games, I think it works well, have put 2 more videos on my other post about the cabinet build. BbfnpiOWNos
KyoKusagani1999 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Here is the Hyperspin demo with horizontal games, I think it works well, have put 2 more videos on my other post about the cabinet build. Well, if you go for superplays like myself, you'd know you want the aspect to be correct so you can focus on things at all times. In my case, games like Mars Matrix would work wonders on my cabinet where vertical games such as Aero Fighters need a little artwork to spicen up the blank borders somewhat. If you're going to have a horizontal game run on that, rotate it so that the aspect is correct and you'll see a major diffrence in your performance. Quite frankly, that's why I have a side panel on my cocktail. For that exact reason.

You are not using 60% of your screen. You are better off rotating the image 90 degrees and putting a control panel on one of the sides of the cab. Again, I dont see the point of that as a cocktail was not designed to do that in the first place.
maniacmat Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Im quite happy with a 24 inch horizontal screen, and side controlled cocktails are terrible to play on.
jeepguy81 Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 If you want to get rid of that blue pointer, just rename it or delete it from the 'Other' folder under 'Images' - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
jeepguy81 Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Here's one for ya Bent98, Pleiades... Kept close with the actual cocktail table, although the version of table they produced it with was the wider style table, so graphic is placed a bit different, but the rest is pretty close, same style CPO. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
jeepguy81 Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 and Nibbler.... Not much of squat for artwork, cutout and touchup from flyer.. - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
jeepguy81 Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Had some free time while the forum was down so here we go... Crazy Kong... This was tough as there really isn't any artwork for it, actually there is some but I'm really not a fan of it. I think it's art used on maybe the version released overseas?? Anyway it really did not go along with any of the traditional DK artwork, so I just winged it with something different. Call me a hypocrite, but I did use the CPO from that artwork, was pretty cool. Carnival... **Credit to Billpa, I used some of the artwork from his mame theme. Super Bagman... **Credit to BodyDump, artwork from his mame theme. Looping... **Credit to BodyDump, artwork from his mame theme. Make Trax... **Credit to BodyDump, little artwork from his mame theme. This one was fun to do. Jr. Pacman... Grabbed the two ghosts from EvilDindon's mame theme, rest is from the marquee mostly. CPO is not totally accurate, but I couldn't find a clear enough image to retrace so used what I had to make one close in style. Another fun one to do. ...back to the grind!! - Vertical-Cocktail Cab Theme Project
