Gudday,

Long time no see. ?

After many...and I mean MANY years one year ago I let go of the thing holding me back from building my arcade. *chuckles* aka wife.

Just arrived today... Then I kicked myself when I realised that I forgot the Player 3/4 harness... *sighs*

Oh well off to relearn all the stuff I knew and find out the awesome changes.

First off all welcome back Polemicist, your untamed wit has been missed. ?

That's a fine shopping list there, looking forward to seeing the build.

This may interest you although the Kickstarter is closed, hopefully they will ship in October.

That just arrived and so did my Dell 19 inch 4:3  monitor for another build later and to plug into my little Dell 9020 i7... Just waiting on the 10 TB HDD which arrives this arvo. Gotta get a HDD caddy for the ssd though but that's cool.

OMFG dude those guns look damn sweet. What's the price tag?

I started a thread on these a while back to inform forum members. You can read up about them, I'll link to the now closed kickstarter (Gigapig did BUT it just linked the video). The standard gun was £80, £130 for the recoil version but there were other options available. It made it's funding target in no time at all, there's definitely interest as these work much better than aimtrak guns. I really hope they start being sold retail "soon" and the guy profits from his efforts.

Ouch... Just looked the double guns with recoil would be £260 That equates to $500 AUD for me... Little rich for my blood at the moment. But will definitely keep them in mind for when I go onto a big screen TV. :) Lets see what happens when they hit production. :D

A good actuator for the recoil action isn't cheap. Look up how much just the Namco actuators are and it'll make those two Sinden guns look like a bargain ;)

I didn't back the kickstarter as it already made it's target. I'd rather buy the "gubbins" to put in a gun of my own choosing

Oh I don't mind spending the money. But at the moment it's a bit rich for me. I run a paintball field with my old man here in Australia so it'll take a few good weekends to get the cash to grab them...

I'll wait for the guys reviews first. ?

Oh I wasn't suggesting you were being cheap, just putting in context that the guns aren't really that expensive.

He's struck a deal with the guys doing the Polymega console so his project is definitely gaining traction. I'm interested to hear what the other forum members say when they get their guns, I'm expecting some very happy customers :)

I'd like to know how well it plays on the big screen TV's. Videos look awesome though. I've got a 55 inch TV that I'd like to use but also wanted to do a 50 inch coffee table and would be amusing to play gun games that way.

You'd have to have two coffee tables for that! One to flip over so the screen is facing you, the other flipped over to take cover behind...for genuine Time Crisis immersion ;)
