tonycawa
Thought of a useful idea and thought somebody here could probably make it happen. So if you have your cab un-attended and hyperspin running....it would be cool if there was some sort of screen saver option maybe in HQ that after a certain amount of time would randomly launch (full-screen) game videos from the media folder or folder of your choosing. I know there is already the wheel spinning feature but I thought this would be cool. Like when you are at an arcade and nobody is playing the game the arcade plays its intro. We all already have tons of video clips in the media folder so thought this would be a cool feature for a future build.

zerojay
There's screensavers that just play videos that you can use for this purpose.
gigapig
Maximus Arcade was able to do it, at least with Mame; part of the reason why I stuck with it for so long.
dougan78
I enjoy mine spinning around aimlessly stopping on games waiting to be played. It would be a neat option though. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
scoodidabop
Revive this! The bad thing about the spinning wheel as a screensaver is that if you left the machine in a system that doesn't have a lot of games (like Sega 32X for example) then your screensaver will get boring real fast. It would be cool if the screensaver just played random videos from the various video folders fullscreen, as if the game was playing already. CoinOPS does this and it's a really nice feature. There's even a little nameplate at the bottom of the screen so you know which game video is playing, in case you'd notice something interesting that you're not familiar with. reznnate
I looked for a screensaver that would randomly play .mp4 videos but all of them were old and failed on Win7. Any suggestions?

Maybe having HS being able to exit a system and enter another system after a certain time has gone by in attract mode would be a good option? thatarcadeguy
honestly, even if HS could go in to a 'sleep mode' where the screen went black and sound muted, it would be great for those of us who want to have a cab we leave running without disturbing anyone when not in use.
