I'll start with the Mega Drive/Genesis.
Like before, I have this system along with it's addons 32X, Sega CD, SegaNet/Channel and even the Power Converter, which I used back in the day to play SMS on Mega Drive.
Genres were arranged so I can switch between the addons, best games, exclusives or Japanese games.
Once you select this system, there's a pre-selected amount of games ranging from all regions and adapters.
Games with regional differences were added.

For emulation I use Retroarch and the HSM Reflection Shader and I play a few games in the video below to show how it works.

The main theme is based on the Mega Drive III box from Tectoy.

The Hacked Games system was one of the most fun to build up, it has around 80~ titles, with some amazing fan games and hacks. There's a few more to add later, but the list is good already.

As always, very slick Aorin.

I also love the HSM shader but find it can mess with the colours of the game giving it a pink tinge e.g. your Road Rash clip but Shinobi is fine.

Have you also noticed this?

I think I noticed but only after you mentioned it.
In the shader parameters there are color settings, maybe messing with it could fix that.

Trouble is it happens randomly but maybe a setting there would help.

Can you take a screenshot and edit the image showing the artifacts so I can possibly get some help with it on libretro forums?

Thanks Aorin. Unfortunately l don't have an adequate card in my cab to run Retroarch. I am waiting to buy a new AMD 6000 series card or nVidia 3000 for my main PC so my cab card is tied up.

I'm trying to get a decent picture of the pink artifact, I believe it happens more often on pre-rendered graphics, is that right? Since Shinobi III and Ultracore look fine.

Are you referring to the market areas? I disabled the shader and they still look pinky, the last screenshot is probably from a guy running on real hardware, I'm still not sure if that's what you're talking about, but it seems to be an artistic choice in this case. If you compare the Kenya pink sky from below.

Nice work @Aorin, I did something similar a while back, also have a video on the channel of turbographx/pc engine and cd merged. Have nes/famicom/disksytem complete and working on both a master system and snes merged database

Do you mind sharing the background image you used for the master system games (Black and white grid fading to blue)

@BATTLEDONKEY You need to get rid of that old special art joystick 😜 Unless you like it of course.

I use xbox 360 gamepad so I use this:

showspecial.thumb.PNG.97e37908e4531663f3afc6bfd8f000bc.PNG

It takes a while because I had to set up every wheel individually but totally worth it!

You should backup your wheels/logos and make it look right in widescreen, try the free Photosizer and squish the wheels setting width to 75% in "stretch"

image.png.a99ffb5095e6127177a2772110b0f246.png

Then open HyperHQ and set the wheels, specially the small ones to a lower number so they won't overlap the others:

image.png.f8c5b8cd8fcbd62f77571c5d07a74344.png

Put this pointer in the "other" folder under MAME or Arcade Classics media, this should look better than the streched blue one:

Pointer.png.3a7dc5d2d43ccc1161681e5aa337980f.png

Actually, I noticed the arcade theme you're using was meant to 4:3 aspect, so the video and the logo above it will still be stretched, I think I can fix that here in case you'd like to.

I forgot to mention that I am not done tinkering. I kind of got busy doing MS-DOS stuff.

These are all excellent ideas though! I was actually looking for the unified theme you made a while ago but couldn't find it anymore! So i used this instead. I am off to work now but I need to talk to you more! Back in about 8 hrs :)

Ok, resize done, got the "Arcade Classics" in the theme too!

Video seems to be fine though. I like how I see the background instead of black bars at the sides of vertical games on this theme.

I was not happy having the logo at the top and in the wheel... so I decided to try my hand at using images of each system on the wheel instead:

* I do notice I have to resize those logos again.
