Is it possible to point the xml to a specific folder to look for the roms?

I have all of my roms in the following folder structure:

HyperSpin\RomFiles\Mame

etc....

So when it checks for MAME roms it says I have none of them because it is looking in the roms folder under the mame install

I am not sure to understand very well, but if that can help you i made a little application before this one that does what you are looking for.

look into the download section for "Hyperspin Xml to Missing Files"

I will take a look at the other app you mentioned.

The issue I have is that my mame roms are not installed in the roms folder underneath the mame install folder.

I do not see anywhere in the app that we can specify the rom location so when the app searches for the roms it will b able to properly find them.

This app is really helpful, I just have one problem with it. I don't keep my videos in the hyperspin folder, could you have the program read the ini file to get the location of the videos.

And secondly could you add the ability to choose which system to scan for instead of doing all of them at once.

metalthrix. This is a great app. could you confirm with systems this works for as i have a lot that it wont register anything, im tying to check my Atari ST and Commodore Amiga sets but it wont pick them up, is there anyway i can make it compare against the database.

funny you tell that my friend had the same trouble than you it seem to hapen when you select Pc game in hyper Hq, so try that ans asap i will come with a newer version !

hi first of all this app is incredible but a lil hard to setup my problem is the data base always has errors when you add the new system. Apart from that i also have a problem with the roms every time i setup the program and where to find the roms for each of those systems it still says cant find it even so i set it right, Also im having trouble with my game listing and even when my genesis program was opening up it wont load the game straight off it keeps making me choose it manually how can that problem be sorted. Please can somebody help me out here thx.

This will be very helpful in checking Neo Geo, capcom, cave, nintendo arcade or any other systems that run off mame roms to the most recent MAME database. As if updating mame wasn't a task in itself, it sucks trying to figure out what roms have to been renamed for neo geo & the like

Awesome App, love it, but would it be possible to search the rom folders recursively, the reason I ask is I have my SegaCD games each in an individual folder and the app does not detect them, may be worth checking the Hyperspin settings to see if the recursive option is enabled and adapt the search accordingly..

Hey, I actually PMed Metalthrix a while back, and he told me that the program was gone, but he did point me to HyperDetective as a replacement.
