Jdubbs Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I know government corruptness is nothing new, its been going on for hundreds of years.. Just curious what everything thinks of that report that came out 3 days.. As of yesterday Chaney was talking trash saying it was all bullshit. intelligence.senate.gov
craiganderson Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 i personally think we should keep politics off of this forum just my opinion have a great day -craig http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
Jdubbs Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 thats what they want good brother.. They want you to pound the koolaid down and forget everything you've seen. Just trying to bring light to a situation that ruined this country. Atleast superstars like LeBron James are willing to speak their mind on such situations... I CANT BREATHE!!!!!!!!!!
craiganderson Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I am well aware of politics, current events etc. I just do not think this is the place. Politics always leads to heated discussions/arguments. I have that in real life and on other forums etc. I prefer not to have that on hyperspin. Would rather keep this pure. But that is just me. I will bud out and let people discuss whatever they like of course. And on a side note, Cheney is ........ http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
Jdubbs Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 .... a complete douchbag who is partially responsible for 911.. I'm not saying lets argue, but you being an american yourself should understand why this SHOULD be discussed.. Its People V.S. Government and the only way the people win is to enlighten. The war already began its on us to win, unless you are happy with your basic rights being taken away.
craiganderson Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Nobody is saying that discussions of current political events is not a worthwhile endeavor. I am just not interested in that here. I think it only leads to arguments. As it always does. I am not interested in that here. But again, that is just me. I am surprised that there is not already a rule against political arguments/discussions in this forum. Is there not? Thanks and have a great weekend. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
damageinc86 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Well, this is in the off-topic forum, so ya know...there's that But yeah it's all interesting stuff, and hard to even begin to know where to start. One thing is for sure, the governments around the world, including the U.S., are completely out of control.
Jdubbs Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 exactly off-topic area seems perfect. Just us talking about it will probably get others involved who have 0 clue about any of it... KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
baddeolv Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Ya, I'm with Craig, being a fellow punk rocker, I retreat to gaming to avoid all the political bullshit. Let's try and keep it game related Instagram : baddeolv Kik : baddeolv Facebook : Brian Addeo www.facebook.com/thecorepunk
Jdubbs Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 why is there an off-topic board then?? Running away from it all doesn't mean none of it is happening, just means you are choosing to close your eyes and let them get away with it
baddeolv Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 If you want to get into it, do it. I can say that anyone that holds a seat in government is a pos corrupt c-sucker. If you disagree, I want nothing to do with it. Instagram : baddeolv Kik : baddeolv Facebook : Brian Addeo www.facebook.com/thecorepunk
Jdubbs Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 quite the opposite, I agree completely. That's the whole reason I want this topic to be open. Alot of people think the government is nothing but sunshine and flowers and they have their best interest in mind, when in reality they couldn't be farther from the truth.
THK Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 why is there an off-topic board then?? Off-topic is often at least game/emulation/hobby related. ..........................back with a vengeance........................
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Government is game related. Its just civilization... populus... even clash of clans all rolled up into the real world. All as its ever used for is to Farm its people for wealth and power. And whats one of the easiest ways to do this... religion! They both go hand in hand, keep people in check, give them an ideal, direction and justification as to your countries actions or intentions. I have been all over the world and the only thing that ever changes is if they want the power short term or long term. This topic will however go down hill fast. Tolls, scaremongers and fruit loops are drawn to these topics like tramps to chips Simply Austin's YouTube
djvj Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 This section is off topic, so anything goes. Just make sure it stays clean, and in this section. Now I'm not aware of the report, have a link? Jdubbs Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 o happy dayslink to the senate report:http://www.intelligence.senate.gov/study2014/sscistudy1.pdf
craiganderson Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Cool. Anything goes. Djvj: So we would be permitted to promote other (non video game / emulation related) websites in off topic? I have a friend starting a website and would love to educate people regarding her services/products. They are all "clean"... http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
djvj Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Off topic discussions is what this section for. Advertising and promotion is typically frowned upon by the community. If it's something to benefit the community, that's fine. I'm even fine with promoting something a community member created, but once it starts getting into the territory of promoting for non-community members, it can get out of hand and too much in the grey area. craiganderson Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 OK. Rules are rules. But I would put forth the idea that discussing politics and religion will cause more turmoil in a community than would promoting a website. I think that that would be obvious to all fair~minded individuals. But rules are rules. And I will follow them. Thanks for the response. http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
THK Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Ah well, I guess just leave the thread be then ..........................back with a vengeance........................
damageinc86 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Well all I see is an exchange of opinions so far, no one is being "dirty", or crazy,...we are all citizens of some country whether we like it or not, so I think that it is reasonable for us to discuss other parts of life in the off-topic area. We aren't just gamers, I see no reason why we can't take a critical look at our government with each other, and discuss it. I just think that the c.i.a. report is just a way to keep some thing happening in the media. They don't really care, it's just another "investigation" type thing that will never do anything other than talk about shit. I mean look at the fast and furious fiasco,...ok here we are and nothing ever happened. It gets like that when the entity in charge of making the rules investigates itself lol. Can't really have any meaningful actions that way.
Jdubbs Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 True, but for them to admit to "illegal activity" atleast opens the eyes of naysayers sometimes. Nothing is ever going to change unless the people do something... Again all about enlightening people
Styphelus Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Leave the USA and all will be good. There - I just fixed all your problems.
damageinc86 Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 LMAO,...yeah because there's no other countries with any sort of governmental ridiculousness.
Styphelus Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Not to the level of the USA, at least not in most of the civilized world. There's a reason the USA ranks 46th in freedom of the press and 17th in corruption. Corruption, suppression of the the press, monopoly of big corporations, political contributions, removal of personal freedoms and a misinformed public = recipe for disaster. It's like modern feudalism. The ridiculous government is nothing but a side show to keep people distracted from the real issues. The 1% are the ones really running the country. They are the ones backing these politicians and financing their campaigns. They are the ones calling the shots.
