Here is my Sharp X1 setup that I would like to share.

It contains the following:

>400 games, all avoid multiple disk loading

...(includes lots games from compilation type in disks which require basic disks before hand to load, but its done for you via save states)

main menu theme

main menu video

sharp x1 commercial video

main menu wheel

default game theme

game videos

game wheels

bezel file

blank xpadder file (not the program)

generic database file (i.e. no details)

module files

and more ........

(basically EVERYTHING :) you need to set it up)

Concerns:

1) It is working 100% on my system. If you have problems let me know and we can fix them.

2) You should not have to switch any disks with this setup. If you encounter a problem let me know. The save state files load disk 1 into drive 0 and disk 2 into drive 1 at onset. But if the game needs to be loaded differently we can fix it. Let me know if any games do that to you.

3) This does not have EVERY game ever. I left out the Japanese text games etc. And pretty much the games that require more than two disks have been left out. Most of them are Japanese text type games anyway. If there is a game you want added to setup, please let me know.

4) Do not erase any games from the romset as they might be a disk from which OTHER games are loading.

5) All of the compilation disks are included on the wheel, but all of the good games from the compilation disks are on the wheel independently.

6) The .tap files (tape files) seem very touchy (need REW etc). They are all being loaded via save state files (.xst) and seem to be working 100%. Let me know if u have issues.

cool. here are two text documents. they are included in the neo kobe x1 rom collection which i think has every game in it.

one is called

[Compilation] Magazine type-in collection (list).txt

and it is a list of the various games that are included on each "type in disk"

the other is

[Miscellaneous] (software list).txt

which is a big list of games for the system

i can read some of the text

but some i think is in japanese

but they have names/years/some companies etc

but for it to work with my setup

the names have to match my rom names

the module needs it that way becuase some games are put into groups (x1, x1turbo, x1turboz) based on the name

and compilaiton disks load multiple games etc

Awesome!...really the only difference is the "virtual" drive aspect..... :) How did you set up the virtual drive? Did you let the module do it? Or do you happen to have an "S:" external drive? Or did you use dougan78's method?

Thanks for trying it and giving me feedback. Let me know if u have any problems. (HLHQ settings, games not loading, etc)

See the pic below on how to make sure the virtual drive is working if you havent done this already... :)

Option 2 the module with virtual drive and correctly named rom path.

The default goes into windowed mode, but it was just a matter of setting that to fullscreen in the HLHQ global module settings as I don't use bezels on any system.

And hide menu bar to true in HLHQ module settings.

yes i did the same thing with the virtual drive. Everything worked fine for me just need to set to full screen and select wheels only like you suggested. My only issue is the games are running way too fast. I may have changed something in the xmillenium settings.

yeah i just re-downloaded the emulator and set cpu to 4 in HLHQ.. seems to work fine. Great Work.. I just found your website. are most of your systems this easy to download and put in Hyperspin?

not all of them. but as i am getting better with modules and whatnot...i think they are getting easier

i really try to make everything "ready to go" upon download

craiganderson, thanks again for your hard work, I'm trying to add Xmillenium to HLHQ, I downloaded everything needed, modules, emulator, artwork and so on, I put Xmillenium module in Hyperlaunch/modules folder and Xmillenium appears in the list in Yellow, but when I try adding Xmillenium as default emulator, even unchecking Valid Emulators/Modules only, it doesn't appear, is there a trick to make it show up?

Check the main list of global emulators and see if Xmillenium is listed as an emulator

If it isn't, you need to add it manually.

Go to Global|Emulators and click the green plus sign.

Then add the name of the emulator, the exe path, the rom extensions from craig's website link and the module it uses.

Then click the disc icon to save it.

Close HLHQ and reopen it and it should now show up under the module default emulator.

Thank you craiganderson and pinsanity, that's exactly what was happening, even in global emulators Xmillenium wasn't showing up, I didn't know that option to add an emulator there.

I managed to add the emulator in HLHQ, all paths are set, now I have another problem to solve, I put d88,2d,xst,rar,zip,tap as extensions just like craig's website both in General emulators and the Sharp X1 main emulator, all paths are correct but when I touch the play (Audit) button, all roms are red, they only show if I put 1 extension at a time, when I put 2 or more, all gets red. Do you know why it happens?
