Styphelus
I would stay away from mess to be honest. Lost of issues with a lot of games.

bandit721
I'll have to check out DK Jr. in MESS...I know that a ton of work went into fixing any outstanding issues with 7800 emulation in MESS for release 0.153 and now is the preferred emulator according to the guys over at AtariAge. bandit721
For those interested, here's the link from AtariAge detailing the changes implemented in MESS 0.153: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/224055-mess-0153the-next-generation-of-atari-7800-emulation/ Like I said previously...pretty extensive. Hope it helps.
crane_minter
Using MESS for everything but the gun games; for those I'm using EMU7800. Those changes really improved the emulation.
Trnzaddict
Got some examples of games that have issues with MESS? How about Commando with no music playing only Sfx? I tried different dumps I think with pokey sound and still nothing.
madangelo
7800 seems to work well with MESS, but how do you configure second joystick? I am using the Tankstick, and playing Robotron supports multiple joysticks for firing. All works well unless I push up, which resets the game. My joystick two up mapping must be mapped to reset game, but haven't had much luck finding this setting. Anyone else using Tankstick with 7800?
